Pyaar toh kuch use bhi tha hum jaisa,

Par jaane kyun badha tha dilon ke beech faasla,

Dil uska bhi kuch toota hoga jab usne daga di thi,

Naa chahte hue phir kyun usne yeh khata ki thi,

Uske liye khud se bhi har pal lada tha mai,

Jin raahon pe sath chaha tha uska unn par akela hi chala tha mai,

Peeche chod raahon mein mujhe wo aage chali gayi thi,

Meri wafa ko bewafai ki saugat de gayi thi,

Uski kisi baat ka jawab na tha mere paas,

Dur hoke bhi har pal tha wo mere saath,

Itna hi keh paayenge unse ki jo dard unke hisse mein aaya,

Wohi kuch hadd tak humne bhi Saha tha!!

Main Hoon Tumhare Saath

Image

Everyone was having breakfast in the mess before the morning drills. As it was saturday, there were no drills after that and they were free to spend their weekend as per their wish. Cadets were sitting together on the left side whereas Faizi and Sanju were sitting on right at their usual places.

As Karan entered the mess, his eyes searched for that one person, whose smile would bright up his whole day, just like it enlightened his whole life, his girlfriend.

Karan: Yeh Monami nahi dikhai de rahi, aayi nahi kya breakfast karne, ya jaldi kar ke chali bhi gai?

He wanted to ask Sid bit kept quiet as others would get suspicious. So, he thought to look in her room himself. As he turned to go, Sanju called him

Sanju: Aree Karan sir ji, bina nashta kiye kaha ja raho hain? Abhi to drill mein bhatero time hogo, saare jhingoor (cadets looked towards her) humao matlab hai, sare cadets to yahi hego, aa jao, dilbagh ji ne badhiya nashto banao hai.

Karan looked at Sanju and Faizi then at cadets, who were giving him curious glances. Taking a deep sigh, he went towards the counter, took little food in his plate and sat across Faizi and Sanju.

Faizi looked at Karan, found him fidgeting with the food, then looked towards cadets, and found Monami missing. He understood the situation and shifted his gaze back to Karan who sensed his gaze upon him and looked back at him. His eyes showing he is worried about her, Faizi blinked his eyes in assurance.

Suddenly, SumanJi realised something and looked around.

SumanJi: Aree yeh Monami kaha reh gai, nashta nahi karna kya usse, fir drill ke liye bhi to jana hai?

Chitra: Aree haa, #Mo kaha hai? Aisa to nahi ki wo hum se pehle hi #breakfast kar ke chali gai ho? Par roz to humare saath hi karti hai, haina?

Bala: Aree tabiyat to thik hai na doctor madam ki? Kal raat tak to thik thi. Sid bhai ji, aapko to pata hoga?

Their conversation caught trainers attention. Karan was impatiently waited for Sid's answer, while Faizi was looking him expectantly.

Sid: (taking a deep breath) wo nahi aayegi aaj shayad breakfast ke liye.

Karan's brows furrowed hearing him but wanted to listen further.

Premji: Nahi aayegi matlab? Bhook nahi lagi hai kya usse? Uska Swaasthya to thik hai na?

Sid: Assuming Swa...whatever to be health, yes, uski tabiyat thik hai, bas โ€ฆ(his eyes got a little moist and he trailed off)

Karan could not hold back himself as his patience gave away

Karan: bas kya Siddharth?

Sid looked at him, seeing worry in his eyes for her best friend and internally smiling but with a lump in his throat.

Sid: Kalโ€ฆ Juhi aunty, mera matlab hai Monu ki mom, unki death anniversary hai, he whispered.

Silence fell over, as everyone took some time to process what Sid just said.

SumanJi (after coming back to her senses): Sumanji ko lagta hai ki fir to hume Monami ke pass chalna chahiye, Sumanji samajh sakti hai maata pita ko khone ka gam kya hota hai (remembering her own parents who were killed in a terrorist attack). Hume use akele nahi chhodna chahiye.

Everyone nodded and about to go, but Sid stopped him

Sid: No guys, please usse akele rehne do. Woh strong hai bahut, bachpan se usne khud ko akele hi sambhala hai, I know she will be alright, bas usse akele rehne do. Aur drills ke liye aayegi hi waise bhi woh, kuch bhi ho jaye training nahi miss karegi woh, she won't let down her mom.

Karan, to say that he was shocked, would be an understatement. But more than shocked, he was in pain, because he knew the grief, pain of losing someone close to you, someone who was the only family to you for years. Getting hold of his emotions,

Karan (clearing his throat): Sabka nashta ho gaya ho to report in drill area (little loudly) NOW!!

Everyone walked out of mess area, Karan called Sid from behind,

Karan: Monami apne kamre mein hi hai na?

Sid: Haan, kamre mein hi hai.

Karan nodded and Sid turned to go, but again turned back to Karan.

Sid: Waise Monu aaj tak to akeli hi rahi hai, par iss baar shayad usse kisi ka saath mil jaye to use accha lage.

Sid left, but Karan stood there pondering over Sid's words. He came out and walked towards Monami's room with a determination.

Monami, iss bar tum akeli nahi ho, mai hu tumhare saath.

Karan reached outside Monami's room and saw the door was half open. He peeked inside and saw Monami sitting near the window, clutching something to her heart. Something like a photo frame. He entered the room and went near her. She was so lost that she did not realise her presence until she felt a warm touch on her shoulder. She looked up and saw him, her strength, staring down in her eyes. She was a strong person, of course she loved her mother, so she gets emotional on her death anniversary, but yet she was proud on her. But today when Karan stared at her, love and care oozing out from his orbs, she could not control herself. She kept the frame aside and hugged him from his waist, wetting his shirt, crying her heart out. Karan understood and he let her cry for some time caressing her head. No words were needed, because no words could describe the emotions they both were feeling. For Monami, it was grief, that she couldn't get enough time with her mother, to make more memories. For Karan, it pained him to see her love in pain yet he couldn't do anything as he himself knew no words could compensate her loss.

After a while, when she calmed down a bit, Karan took her to the bed and made her sit there. He then made her drink water to which she gave him a little smile.

Monami (clearing her thoat): I am fine Karan, thanks, and sorry, thodi emotional ho gai.

Karan (Holding her hands): Don't be. Monami, main jaanta hu kisi apne ko khone ka dukh kya hota hai, aur woh toh tumhari maa thi, to zahir si baat hai, aaj ke din unhe miss to karogi hi, hai na? Aur yeh bhi janta hu ki tumhe unn par bahut garv hai, hona bhi chahiye, kyuki unhone jo desh ke liye sacrifice kia wo karna har kisi ke bas ki baat nahi hoti. Aur unhone sirf apni life hi sacrifice nahi ki, unhone aur tumne bhi sacrifice kiye woh moments jo tum dono ek dusre ke saath bita sakte the, woh memories jo ban sakti thi par ban nahi payi, woh dukh jo baate ja sakte the par baat nahi paye, woh khushiyan jo saath celebrate ki ja sakti thi par saath kar nahi paye, isiliye brave sirf tumhari maa nahi thi, tum bhi bahut brave ho Monami, aur iss sab ke baad bhi tum apni maa ke jaisi banna chahti ho, unhi ke jaise desh ki seva karna chahti ho, yeh bahut himmat ka kaam hai, and I am proud of you. More importantly, she must be proud of you.

Monami had tears in her eyes, suddenly she realised something.

Monami: Time kya ho raha hai? Ohh no, drill ke liye late ho gaye, chalo chalte hain.

She gets up but Karan pulled her hand and made her sit again.

Karan: It's okay. Aaj waise bhi sirf morning drills hi hai, aur wo bhi revision hi hai. To aaj rehne do. Monday se continue kar lena.

Monami: par baki sab? Unhe kya kahenge?

Karan: Wo sab mujh pe chhod do. Unhe bhi pata hai, Siddharth ne bataya sabko mess mein. I am sure they will understand.

Monami nodded, then kept her head on his shoulder. Karan wrapped his arms around her.

Karan: Waise kal barsi hai toh, (hesitantly) ghar jaogi tum? Pooja toh hogi na?

Monami understood his hesitation, after all what his father has done previously, it is obvious for him to get worried and insecure about her being manipulated by his father again. She lifted her head and made him look into her eyes.

Monami: Nahi, ghar nahi jaungi. Aur rahi baat pooja ki? (Taking a deep sigh) woh to wese bhi mujhe hi karni hai, to kahi bhi karu.

Karan: matlab? Tumhare papa?

Monami (chuckling a little): Papa? Unke paas time hi kab tha? Jab mummy thi tab bhi kabhi humare liye time tha hi nahi shayad unke pass, conference, meetingsโ€ฆ. bas inhi mein busy rehte the. Jaise hum the hi nahi unki duniya mein. Eventually, maine aur mummy ne bhi apni duniya bana li. Mummy ke jane ke baad toh jaise wo aur door ho gaye mujhse. Aur unki barsi par bhi wo kabhi ghar pe hote hi nahi thi. Toh main hi pooja karti thi pandit ji ko bula ke. Anyways, iss saal bhi pooja mujhe hi karni hai to yaha karu, ghar jau, kya farak padta hai. Kal wese bhi Sunday hai, to subah mandir jaa kar unke naam ki pooja kar lungi. Aur firโ€ฆ

Karan: Aur fir?

Monami (smiling a bit): Tumhe pata hai, har saal, mummy ki death anniversary par ek fix routine rehta hai. Pehle main aur sid ghar pe pooja karte hai, fir oldage home jaate hain. Waha poora din unke saath spend karte hain. Jab wo log smile karte hain na aur humare sar par pyaar se apna haath rakhte hai, to aisa lagta hai jaise mummy aaspass hi hai aur mujhe dekh rahi hai, aur keh rahi hai, ' I am proud of you beta, inn sabke ashirwad mein mera ashirwad bhi to hai '.

By now she again got tears in her eyes and seeing her, Karan felt his eyes getting moist. He wiped her tears with his thumbs.

Karan: If you don't mind, iss baar main bhi tumhare saath chal sakta hu?

Monami smiled and kept looking at him.

Karan: Aise kya dekh rahi ho? Agar tum nahi chahti to it's okay, I understand.

Monami: Aree mere buddhu ram, aisi koi baat nahi hai. Tum kal chaloge to mujhe aur unhe, dono ko accha lagega. ( Sadly) Main to bas yeh soch rahi thi ki kaash mummy hoti, main sabse pehle unhe batati humare baare mein, and wo kitni khush hoti yeh jaankar aur tumse milkar.

Karan (taking her in a side hug): Woh nahi hai to kya hua, dekh to rahi hai wo hume, aur woh tumhare andar hai Monami, tunhari aadaton mei hai, tumhari kindness mein hai, tumhari himmat mein hai, tumhare jazbe mein hai. Bas unhe mehsoos karne ki zarurat haiโ€ฆ

Chalo ab ja ke breakfast kar lo, aur fir thoda rest kar lena. Main drills ke liye jaata hu, okay?

Monami nodded and Karan kissed her forehead lovingly. He reached the door but turned again, and looked at her, she understood and blinked her eyes as if saying she is fine and asking him not to worry. He nodded and left.

Next Morning, Sid, Monami and Karan left the academy and reached the temple. They performed pooja and as Panditji asked Monami to offer flowers to the portrait of her mother, she went near the photo and found her smiling back at her. She got teary eyed. But she found Karan and Sid on either side, supporting her. She knew how important she is for both of them and vice versa. She smiled a little and sent a silent thanks to her mom above to give her these two, without whom she cannot imagine her life.

After pooja, they went to oldage home and spent the entire day with them. Karan was looking at Monami, who was looking so happy watching the smiles on those faces and with the affection she was getting there. He was lost in her smile, when Sid nudged him

Sid: Waise Karan sir, I know mujhe kehne ki zarurat nahi hai, but thanks, meri monu bro ko sambhalne ke liye. Thodi pagal hai wo, I know, but uske liya aapka aaj yaha aana bahut matter karta hai.

Karan (smiling): Jaanta hu.

Sid turned around to go but stopped listening Karan

Karan: Bahut lucky hai Monami, jo tumhare jaisa dost hai uske paas. Aisi dosti kismat se dekhne ko milti hai.

Sid( in SidG style): I know, we are rare, me and my Monu. Aap se behtar kon jaanta hai. Rare hai tabhi to aap ke chakkar mein fas gai bechari monu bro.

Karan glared at him, and he gulped, but then both smiled.

Unknown to them one person was smiling, looking at the two as she wiped her happy tears.

Karan-Monami's Journey

Image

Image

This story is about Special Agent Karan Shergill & Dr.Monami Mahajan.

Karan Shergill is a man of few words, someone for whom rules & regulations meant everything. He didnโ€™t give a damn about what others thought of him & was known as โ€œUlti Khopdiโ€.

He lost his brother in a mission for rescuing some rich kids and developed hatred for rich people and felt guilty of not being able to save his brother.

Monami came from this rich world. She had everything in life except two things she wanted the most, love & acceptance. She wanted to become an Army doctor like her mother but knew it would be difficult to convince her father. She was a girl who always looked for best in everyone buthad a very low self-esteem.

There begins the story of Karan & Monami.

They both generated sparks in the first meeting and not of good kind. She thought he was a thief and they both had a fight. Karan couldnโ€™t believe that someone would think of him as a thief and still try to stand against him & fight.

He was shocked when he realised that she would also be joining the academy. He knew her background and thought that she had just joined the academy to do time pass, after all that is what all rich, privileged kids did whenthey were bored. But he knew that โ€œRani Sahibaโ€ wouldnโ€™t survive here.

He hated the world she came from, then why did he feel attracted to her..? He knew that she & her friend were just making fools out of everyone. He hated liars and she just kept proving his belief about rich people right.

Monami might have looked meek but she had inner strength and she fought for her friend ,even after knowing that it would cost her, her dream. She accused Karan of two timing and went to war for her friend, so it shook her when she realised that she had assumed everything wrong about Karan. He was not the man she thought him to be. He was a totally different person. She had unknowingly threatened one person he valued the most in the world, his niece. He was an island, his world only including his brotherโ€™s family & his Army commandos.

Then came the organ trafficking track which changed the dynamics between the two. Karan realised that he might have misunderstood her. She valued her profession & was determined to save lives, even at the risk of her own life.

He protected her & took a bullet for her. He took responsibility for the entire operation, knowing that it could cost him his career as he was already suspended.

It was then that Monami fell in love with him. She saw a man who might act tough but was soft inside. A leader who always stood for what was right, irrespective of the consequences, who had so much love and care in him but was afraid to show it to the world.

First love is always special because everything feels so different. You always want to be around that person, want him to look at you as if you are special to him, want him to be proud of you. So many feelings, so many emotions. Monami was in a bubble where everything seemed so nice & bright. Everything was beautiful. But was it?

While Monami was enjoying her feeling of first love, she was unaware of the inner turmoil which Karan was going through.

He kept reliving the nightmare of not being able to save his brother and ended up shooting Monami.

It shattered him. He failed his brother and he even failed her. He failed as a commando. He was engulfed in grief. He wanted to bepunished. It was his fault she was fighting for her life. He had accused her of being judgemental but he had been totally wrong. She was no โ€œRani Sahibaโ€, she had fought for her dreams, she was not weak, undecisive, she was not a failure. With every word her father spoke against her character, he realised how strong she was, he had just been too blinded by his presumptions to see her.

He needed to be punished by her but it shook him when she said that it was not his fault.

She had a choice to make. Her dreams or Karan and academy. She would not let other peopleโ€™s dreams be broken because of her. She would accept defeat and walk away from him, her dreams.

He could not tolerate her leaving and punished himself. It was his fault that she had walked away from her dreams.

Karan realised that her decisions had something to do with him and he came back for her. He fought with her father & took a stand for her and there she fell a bit more in love with him.

No one had ever taken a stand for her, fought for her, protected her. No one had ever seen her as worthy enough. He saw himself as a broken man but she saw him as someone worthy of love.

Her love confession shocked him. How could someone love him. He was not worthy of anyoneโ€™s love. Love had no place in his life. Love only brought pain. His brother had been everything to him & losing him left a gaping hole behind. He only lived for his brotherโ€™s family. He explained that his brother was everything to him & after he died, a part of him died with him and he had nothing to offer her.

โ€œI just hope tumhe aisa insan mile, jisse tum woh sab baatein share kar sako, jisse khud bhi bhaagte ho..โ€

โ€œI hope tum kisi din mujh par bharosa kar pao, mujhse apne saare dard share kar paoโ€

She accepted it & freed him from her love, he should have been happy, then why did he feel soempty inside? Why did her absence affect him so much?

Why did he want her to be as she was before, running around him, making him smile, doing funny antics? She said they should start afresh. Then why did a new beginning feel like an end to him?

Her distance bothered him. He again wanted to be surrounded by her presence but everything had changed. She had confessed and now nothing looked the same. He could no longer act as if nothing had happened. He could not start afresh. It pricked him when she acted like a stranger to him.

He didnโ€™t want to want her. He didnโ€™t need her. He kept denying that he was in love with her. Love had no place in his life. But try as he might, he couldnโ€™t convince himself. It was her that he saw when he closed his eyes, she made his heart race. His heart and mind warred with each other.

โ€œMain khud ko tumhare liye feel nahi karne de saktaโ€

He saw the chandelier about to fall on her and everything came back in focus. He realised that she had already become his heartbeat. She had already become part of his world. He had not realised that she had already started lighting up all dark corners of his heart.

He finally accepted what his heart had been telling him all the while, he was in love with Monami.

โ€œMain pyaar karta huin usse..I love her, I just love herโ€

But sometimes life gives you lemons. He was too late in confessing and her friend came into the picture. Another man who loved his Monami. He did not like seeing her with someone else, giving someone else attention, spending time with someone else. Did she not love him anymore, had their story ended before it began? Had he already lost her to someone else?

Why couldnโ€™t she see that he loved her, that the other person was playing games.

Monami couldnโ€™t understand Karanโ€™s change of behavior. He had always been calm & practical and now he was behaving weirdly. She couldn't understand why he had problem with her friend. He said that she didnโ€™t trust him but did he not realise that she had always trusted him. He had always been the first person she went to when there was problem. He soothed her. He calmed her. He was her anchor. She could fight with him, be annoyed with him but she would always go to him only. He always made everything become right.

He said he didnโ€™t love her but his actions always screamed his love for her. They were trapped in a cave but she felt safe with him because she knew that he would always protect her.

Maybe he would never say the words, she would still feel bad about it but accept it, whatever be the circumstances but atleast he was hugging her tightly as she had always wanted, as if she was his world, as if he was holding something precious and maybe that would be enough for her.

He could not bear her talking as if she meant nothing to him, because she did. She was his world. She was everything. She was light to his darkness. She made him feel alive. She was balm to his wounds. She was his heartbeat. He finally confessed

โ€œMain tumse bahut, bahut zyaada pyaar karta huin..I really, really love youโ€

 โ€œJaise koi kinaara

Deta ho sahaara
Mujhe wo mila kisi mod par
Koi raat ka taara
Karta ho ujaala
Waise hi roshan kare woh shehar
Dard mere woh bhula hi gayaa
Kuch aisa asar huaa
Jeena mujhe phir se woh sikha raha
Hmm.. Jaise baarish kar de tar
Yaa marham dard par
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjaare ko ghar
Naye mausam ki sehar
Yaa sard mein dopahar
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjaare ko gharโ€

While he was so happy to finally confess his love, she had been too sick to comprehend to his words. It saddened him that once again he had failed to confess his love.

There was a bomb in the academy and he sent everyone away for their safety. He was the leader. It was his duty to protect everyone.

She knew that something was wrong and he was all alone. She knew he could handle it but she could not leave him all alone. She might not be able to do anything but she could stand next to him & support him.

The bomber held his life at gunpoint but he could not lose focus. He had to be a commando & not a lover. His one misstep would take her away from him.

He controlled himself and only let go when the situation wasin control. He ran to her & held her tightly in his arms, assuring himself & her that she was fine and safe.

She remembered. She remembered everything he said in cave. He loved her, she couldnโ€™t believe that he loved her, that he hadfinally confessed. She smiled & asked him again..

โ€œDo you love me..?โ€

And finally, finally they both were on the same page andconfessed their love.

โ€œLove you, Monami..Really, really love you..

I love you too, Khadoos Shergill ..โ€

Karan who had always shown his tough exterior made himself vulnerable and confessed that he could not live without her. She had become his everything.

Both broken in different ways, but somehow like pieces of a puzzle who would complete each other.

Karan, an excellent commando but someone who saw himself unworthy of love & happiness, who always kept himself closed off from everyone, who pushed people away, who had destined an empty and bleak life for himself; finally found his life and reason to live.

Monami, someone who had always looked for good in everyone but was someone who saw herself as unworthy, who was lonely & unloved, finally found someone who loved her for who she was, respected her dreams and uplifted her.

This was just the beginning. They still had a long way to go, many hurdles to face .They would fight, be angry with each other but always, always come back to each other.

Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. They fell in love.

A lifetime happened. Misunderstandings cleared, prejudices flayed, hatred soothed and a love story was born.

From strangers to dating, from hatred to love, from a cadet to his girlfriend, from a trainer to his boyfriend, here's the journey of Special Agent Karan Shergill and Doctor Monami Mahajan.

First sight. First meeting. First misunderstanding.

'Tum samajhte kya ho apne aap ko? Chota hai toh chaaku dikha kar daraoge tum? Himmat hai toh mujhe daraakar dikhao!'

'Hello ma'am, main koi chor nahi hoon. Ek officer hoon.'

Misunderstandings resulted in a rocky start. They had no plans to meet each other ever again, but as they say, destiny had other plans.

'Yeh hain humaare Sir ji, Special Agent Karan Shergill.'

'Humne Ustaad ji ki list check kari thi. Doctor hai. Monami naam hai. Lekin humaare hisaab se uska naam Monami nahi, Tsunami hona chahiye.'

A bad first impression, a trek, a little pleading and a hilarious conversation later, Doctor Monami Monami was Special Agent Karan Shergill's cadet.

Another misunderstanding and the dislike dove deeper. Hatred.

She was a spoiled, privileged brat who treated the academy as an outdoor adventure camp.

He was a heartless, khadoos, arrogant special trainer who could go as far as torture someone for a mistake.

Only, they weren't.

An unplanned mission, a life threatening stand, and a commaradie of the battlefield and perspectives changed, situations changed, relationships changed.

'Mere hisaab se pata hai tum kaun ho? Selfless, brave and kind. That's what you are, Monami. Thoda credit khud ko bhi dena chahiye.'

'Sir, main Karan ko Khadoos Shergill kaha karti thi. But I was wrong. Unhe apni cadets ki bahut chinta hai.'

A shaky truce. A liking. A hero for Monami but an enigma for Karan. The euphoria dispersed slightly as reality smacked them in the face.

'You know what? Main aur Sid kuch bhi kar le, par tumhaare liye hum hamesha un rich, spoiled privileged logon ki tarah hi rahenge jinki wajah se tumhaara bhai ki death hui thi.'

'Haan! Rahogi! Kyunki tum ho unhi rich, spoiled, privileged kids jaise jinhe zindagi mein sab kuch itni asaani se mila hai ki kisi ki jaan tak ki parwaah nahi.'

Destiny threw them together again when a past turmoil resulted in a present crime-cum-mistake. Out of the mess of blood and tears sprang understanding and easy acceptance.

'Monami... jo kuch bhi hua... main kitni bhi maafi maang lo, wo kaafi nahi hai.'

'Jab tumhaari koi galti hai hi nahi, toh maafi kis baat ki?'

Misunderstandings and prejudice washed away in the blood of the gun wound, and all that remained was mutual respect and a sense of protectiveness for each other.

'Main apni selfishness ke liye uske dreams ruin nahi kar sakti, Sid!'

'Aapko jo karna hai, aap kijiye. Sue karna, kijiye. Case karna, kijiye. Enquiry baithaani, baithaiye. Par Monami abhi, isi waqt, mere saath, academy waapas jaa rahi hai.'

And so, things finally steadied back in their rocky ship, the waves calming down and a sense of comfort and ease with each other sailed their ship.

She was in love. High. Giddy.

He was oblivious. Clueless.

Their dynamics changed, their relationship changed. It grew deeper. Where once was misunderstanding, now came easy trust. Where once was prejudice, now came easy acceptance. Where once they stood face to face glaring at each other, now they stood side by side, ready to face the world.

Sorry isliye kyunki maine tumhe unhi rich, privileged kids ki tarah samjha jinki wajah se... Param Bhaiya... par tum waisi ho nahi. Tum unke jaisi bilkul nahi ho. Aur galti meri hai ki main har ek privileged kid ko ek hi jaisa samajhta aaya hoon. You are different. You are special.'

'Phir baad mein pata chala itne bhi bure nahi ho. Matlab, tum achhe ho. Actually, sirf achhe nahi. Tum bahut, bahut, bahut achhe ho. And I... I... I really... I really, really, really like you.

'Dosti ka pehla kadam bhi toh bharosa hi hota hai. Aur Gappu se keh dena ki ab se academy mein tumhaare teen dost hain.'

'Karan, mera trust kabhi nahi todhega. I trust him. Wo bahar se dikhta strict hai, par andar se bahut zyaada caring hai.'

But as they say, if you fly too high, you're going to fall just as hard. It couldn't be truer for Monami.

'I love you, Karan Shergill.'

'Monami, yeh ho nahi sakta.'

Misunderstandings soared again, and this time, it was pain that outshone through with the anger.

Monami's confession shook their world, forcing them both off the uphill path of the mountain of their relationship and pushing them into the ditch of heartbreak and pain. Tears shed, blood flew, pain soared, their relation plunged.

'Tumhe kya farak padta hai? Tum toh kuchh bhi feel nahi karte, na, mere liye?'

'Monami, tumhe samajh kyun nahi aata?'

But the explanation of the mission that changed Karan Shergill forever was the bridge back from the ditch they had fallen into and they pulled themselves back on the mountain.

Their dynamics changed again, their relationship changed again. From cadet-trainer to friends to practically strangers.

A fresh start, that was what they wanted. A giddy teenage love crush phase was what they got.

Confused eyes. Red cheeks. Stumbling words.

And then... a chandelier.

And his world flipped. Again.

'Agar use kuchh ho jaata, na, toh main mar jaata, yaar!'

He was in love. Special Agent Karan Shergill was in love. Utterly, hopelessly and deeply in love with Doctor Monami Mahajan.

Love is in the air. And so is so much more. Jealousy, frustration, misunderstandings.

But amidst their misunderstandings, destiny strikes again. A disaster brought them together, and while they were busy knocking on the door of death, their love came knocking too.

'Sunn rahi hoon jo shayad tum kabhi nahi bologe.'

'Main tumse bahut zyaada pyaar karta hoon. I really, really love you.'

A hilarious, little memory tugging game and a near death situation later, the magnets met.

'I love you, Monami. I really, really love you.'

'I love you too, Khadoos Shergill.'

And so, their dynamics changed again. Their relation changed.

Dating. That's what they were doing. Boyfriend-girlfriend. That's what they were.

From cadet-trainer to friends to practically strangers to dating, it has been a journey and a breathtakingly beautiful one.

'Hum jahan bhi jaate, saath jaate, right? Par abhi bhi toh hum saath mein hain. Main yahin khush hoon.'

'Ek cheez hai jiske bina main bhi nahi reh sakta hoon. Tum.'

Boy met girl. Girls met boy. They fell in love.

And magic happened...
