Why did the audience not warm upto Sonam Kapoor?

Things going in her favour:

1. She's beautiful

2. Nepotism

3. Style icon

Things going against her:

1. She was pitted against Deepika, who always had an upper hand in terms of acting

2. She's an average actress, who shines in limited roles

Frankly, Sonam is a better actress than some who've "made it".

Why did the audience not warm upto her?

Her personality is off putting. 

She has a pretty face and wears stylish clothes. That's all she is good at.

Limited projects I guess 

With her foot in mouth syndrome, she had nothing going in favor of her...

Her dialogue delivery makes you want to bang your head against the cinema walls.

She is unbearable on screen..She is one actress I can not stand on screen and her offscreen personality is horrible👎🏼

I wonder if general public follow offscreen stuff at all.  My guess is they don’t . 

She is an i-kaun.

I don’t think Deepika had any hand in Sonam not becoming successful. If anything, it’s the other way round. Debuting with someone way below average like Sonam helped a strictly average Deepika to take up the center stage and blossom. 

Sonam used to be my favorite when she began, but after the first three movies I realized that she wasn’t putting forth any effort .She has the most annoying dialog delivery ever and she wasn’t going to do anything about it, so why would people like her? Even in the movie Neerja, her perfomance was strictly average and even annoying at a lot of places- especially during the climax.
