Ok, finally watched epi 1 and was very surprised by how I liked most of it😆.....matlab even the cringe characters that I was dreading a lot didn't kill my eardrums as much as the sideys did in season 1....maybe they are trying to evolve the storytelling a bit with the times....baaki toh time will tell.

First season mein I'd liked the initial interactions too but it all went downhill once they started screaming like a fishmarket in their "nok jhonk" fighting scenes and then shaadi ke baad wala transition always felt OTT to me.

Anyways coming back to this.....I was expecting Disha to be bland but maybe it's the fact that they've given her crisp dialogues, it's really working for her right now....I liked her in the first epi.....especially the speech on Baarish in the college....lol Priya is a cynical pragmatist but kaafi valid points the.

Baaki NM's Ram is deffo much more man-child than the previous version....matlab he's literally wearing SILVER and GOLDEN shoes with his suits?🤣.....he's overall like a very mellowed and musing sa version of Shivaay.....like if Shivaay also paused to reflect about his feelings and wants in life, toh shaayad aisa hota😆.....and I think thode real life NM traits bhi hain like all the filmy keeda stuff he was doing with his friend.....lol foodie wala aspect bhi shaayad NM jaisa hai. So basically this Ram is sharp at business but otherwise an emotional fool being taken for a ride by many people😆.....original Ram was only being taken for a ride by his family....yahaan toh isko one-sided love bhi ghumaa raha hai😆.

I liked the cupcakes wala argument....lol the extended version was even funnier when he was asking for an "all in one" flavored cupcake and she was like aaj tak kisi ne itna LALACH nahin dikhaya na🤣.....good writing and well executed in terms of the back and forth too.....matlab woh put on sa contrived argument nahin tha...felt like how convo would build up between two people based on their personalities.

Baaki toh they might as well have renamed this season BAARISH😆.....given the extreme focus on that trope....lol har dusre scene mein baarish pe discussion.....haha

They are playing some kind of humming sa version of Moh moh ke dhaage on Ram ke scenes, no? Along with ofcourse the usual mix of KHNH and BALH ka original title song....lol

Woh end wala auto scene was good too as a hit or miss.....again the argument was in line with the characters.....Ram doesn't realize how easily he's using money as a way to get his way through everything while Priya deffo is resentful of people doing paise ka dikhaava toh chip on the shoulder hai about that.....lol

Beheno ka banter also seemed pretty natural.....pulling each other's leg, poking at Priya ka cynicism, but also trying to draw her out. LOL at her sister trying to get her to wear earrings and put on some kaajal....KITNI cranky hai Priya😆

Oh LMAO this Ram is wearing PINK shoes today🤣......so yahaan daali hai "creativity" in styling this time NM ne? IB mein colorful suits the, yahaan colorful shoes? 😆

Man, Priya ka father is so vile....is baar ki Priya ki life is way more tragic.....lol....but I liked the scene for how she tried to rigidly tackle her father despite her heartbreak.

Baaki the epis are super fast paced so far, I must say.....lol

Oh the other song is phir le aaya dil ka humming I felt and haan I told you na I was surprised too that I actually liked it and wasn't put off ..kaafi hadh tak decent tha and yes disha worked..NM is such a fun version of shivaay and thankfully he isn't in his dhinku zone caz jab isko yeh light karte hain toh yeh usme chala jaata hai isme he was decent woh lively sa fool aaya playful wala but not in cringe way..I was expecting worse..mujhe bas yeh behan nahi achi lagi but then caz I geneuinly did appreciate sumona even if she was a 🤬 in original as Natasha.. baaki toh sabhi OK type Characters thay..yaha bhi in episode 2 when I skimmed it looked like yeh dost and dost ki biwi are ram ke friends but I still missed Vikram and uski biwi matalb kitna time I watched BALH for that friendship between 4

Haan after his other recent cringe-worthy work like Dhinku and that lame web-series, here NM seems to be playing a role that's suiting him and that has a softer vibe.....isliye it's working I guess. The fact that he's such a softie as a ML is a bit hatke for now....lol.....baad mein character flip kar dein toh can't say.

I feel like writing/characterization plays a part in how you form an image of two characters as well.....matlab I'm not even thinking about chemistry right now cuz the interactions between the characters have had such crisp dialogues ki that's helped me to overcome the blah image I had of them from the promos.....baaki toh time will tell how much the story holds past a week as you said😆.

Zyada cliched bakwaas will start with the shaadi ki prep.....BALH1 mein toh bahut OTT bakwaas kiya tha inhone in the build up to the shaadi and ROFL they literally showed the shaadi with body doubles😆....let's see if they can rise above that here.

And she was close to her dad in this one, jabki BALH2 mein sab ulta kar diya hai - estranged from father and sisters mostly supportive hain except for the one who udaaoed her boyfriend....lol

Baaki yes, Ram-Vikram ki friendship was a nice one but again overall it never went beyond any loud cliches/drama toh I never could seriously connect.

Ram-Sakhi are fab actors....but this show never really lived up to their potential....most of it was steered through their screen presence or random gimmicks in the disjointed/cliched story😆
