Posting the promo from another thread.. credit: Red Eyes

Have they actually degraded so much that they are now showing and normalising incest? 🤢Elder brother thinking that the younger brother’s ex gf is his wife.. no matter how different her voice and touch are..and she is also shameless enough to enjoy the attention. Not uncomfortable at all, to tom tom with her ex lover’s elder brother 🤢 And even the dutiful wife is shown busy playing mother to an orphan. God knows, they may even bring in more characters, and make a complete kachra of whatever is left of this show. They always show something different in the promo; and different in the episodes, but this crap that the actors are being forced to promote as destiny and apna-paraya crap isn’t getting them their precious trp,

What was promised as a beautiful love story between a blind man and a simple village girl has turned into a puke worthy crap fest of pure and unadulterated bs. And the saddest (or maybe the happiest) fact is nobody CARES anymore. šŸ˜† The show has long lost whatever credibility it had. Am only sorry for the actors still wasting their time and talent in this worthless show.

While I understand your disgust - the relation would not be described as incestuous. Incest is by definition a relation with someone you are blood related to - like your sister/brother/parents.

Charmi was just Darsh's brother's girl friend. It is puke worthy for many reason but wouldn't count as incest.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. Yeah, I know..my bad that I was mainly misled by the film buzz article, which said that Charmi would be pregnant expecting Shobit’s child, while pretending to be Nandini. I don’t think they would show this scenario, or Darsh being ok with it, or even a 3 year leap.

Edit: If they do, I wouldn’t be surprised. But this show is rumoured to be going off air soon, so am sure, they wouldn’t take the trouble to show a leap if they had to go off air so soon after the alleged leap.

Was reminded of another serial where to ramp up ratings, they paired the brother-in-law and sister-in-law, after both were married to diff people. And just because Darsh says in the beginning of the promo, 3 saal baad, they also reported that there would be a 3 year leap.. I think he was saying in the context of getting his sight back after 3 years.. not passage of 3 years.. hope am making sense. 😳

Hey,

Being a medical practitioner and literature enthusiast proper definition of things is kinda important for mešŸ˜†.

I understood the show you are referring and even there it wouldn't be incest. I did watch it for a while for the lead actress.

This show has lost it's track completely. I mean unless Darsh has suffered some sort of amnesia along with getting his eye sight back, how would it make sense that he thinks someone else entirely is Nandini?

Having said that, I believe Charmi used to call Darsh bhaiya. I remember this from the scene where they take Nandini's cow to the vet.

Ok, no problem. If incest is sexual relations between the same blood relations like brothers, sisters.. etc; what would you call one between in-laws? And not just that show, in the past there have been many shows like Kumkum and Kahin toh hoga, where the bhabhi has been married off to the devar after her husband’s death.

Nothing makes sense in this show actually. It’s best that it goes off air. At least the actors and viewers will be saved from working and viewing crap respectively. šŸ¤”

There’s no term to define it because technically there’s nothing wrong with such a relationship. There’s no blood relation to your brother’s wife or to your sister’s husband.

Emotional correctness is another matter. We feel this ā€œeurgh!ā€ sensation because we are most likely overly invested in the lead pair and in reality most of us consider our sibling in laws as siblings. In reality there are instances were women get married to brother in laws post husband’s death mostly. Personally I cannot imagine it but I won’t judge a couple who does it or have done it, as long as no one is getting hurt. It’s their business and no one else should have an opinion on it.

This show is an entirely different ball game because it’s got a lot of other toxic elements in it. What could have been a phenomenal story about how being blind can be limiting and freeing, how someone else can be our eyes and so much more was butchered for the much sort after trp drama.

I don't think there is anything incestuous in Charmy and Darsh relationships. Charmy was Shobit's girlfriend, not Darsh's sister or unknown half-sister or something near regarding those line. Hell, she wasn't even Darsh' cousin or whatnots. It's just as if Charmy was dating one brother, and now with another brother.

Ugh, now they have made it even more worse by having Charmi willingly trying to become Nandini, Gun trying to expose Charmi’s truth to Darsh and Vanlata trying to expose Darsh’s alleged infidelity. 🤢🤢🤢 No one is spared in this crap.

Also, I think it’s funny how they always show Bansuri being attacked emotionally ( I read the updates so don’t know exactly what was said) šŸ¤” to bring out her epileptic fits, and conveniently show that she doesn’t remember what happened before the attack. That isn’t how it works. There are so many reasons for an attack like lack of oxygen to the brain, traumatic injury to the brain, hereditary genes especially from the mother etc. It’s almost under control if you have a balanced diet, keep your weight under check, don’t have drugs and alcohol, and keep taking your medicines regularly. Now all this can’t be shown, it’s a show after all whose main purpose is to entertain, but still.. 😳 one can’t help but wish that a mockery out of sickness isn’t made.
