What must have gone through Sai’s head.

After watching today's episode and after reading certain posts, both here and on twitter, I realised that many people didn't like the fact that Sai gave Virat's oendant away and that too without thinking that it could hurt his feeling. Now, I completely agree that it was wrong of Sai, but I have some thoughts as to why Sai did what she did. It might be easier for me to say that people should just ignore it and that everyone has flaws and all but just in case this thought has gone through anyone's head (just in case), I would like to point out that I am pretty sure no one actually feels like this is a big deal, and no one is being too judgemental or grouch but rather everyone is just putting their opinions. I wrote this because this was the first thought that came into my sister's mind after reading the posts, so I decided to clear it all out.

Now, for the main topic. Sai was wrong to give away the pendant. But what I probably think happened was that she didn't actually think it all through. When she heard that Kaku wanted a pendant just like hers, she just gave it to her the same way she was willing to give her jewellery to Devi Tai. The reason she didn't actually think that Virat would be much affected was because she herself wasn't affected. This is one trait which we all know that Sai lacks. She sometimes just cannot comprehend how her actions would affect the others. She just do what she think is right. Not entirely a good trait to have (or lack thereof), but it is one of the things Virat actually love about her, that she does what she thinks is right (I think spontaneous personality is the word). As of now, it seems wrong because she is still immature, but in the future, as she matures, she will know when to use this and when not to. She wasn't as affected by the pendants as she was by the fact that Virat remembered and he bought it for her. So, when the time came when she had to give it away, she did it without any second thoughts because for her the pendant wasn't of that much value, and she thought Virat would think so too. Add it to the fact that she always saw Virat putting his family above everything else, sacrificing so much for them. He always said that living in joint family is just like that. She was always told that she just don't know how joint family works. So, when she finally had the chance to do something that will be considered joint-family-worthy, she did it excitedly, happy that she is finally getting how joint family system works. But unfortunately, she didn't realise that it wasn't as simple as that. When Pakhi told her that she had Virat, you could see the realisation dawn upon her, but I think either she didn't want to believe that or she didn't think that she had that much effect over Virat.

Now this entire thing about not realising how one's particular action affected the other is not something new when we talk about SaiRat. Virat has done it several times (usually with something related to Patralekha), and Sai had done it too. It is something which happens with all couples. And we can easily see that Virat is now getting how to read Sai’s expressions and comprehend whether his actions have hurt her or not. I am pretty sure that soon we will see the same with Sai (by soon I mean maybe another 100-200 episodes). This is just how their character will grow together as a couple, and how mutual understanding will develop between them. So it is all just part of the journey. We should just sig back and relax, for as long as the makers will let us.

I felt that this post had way too much positivity, so I am going to add a pinch of negativity here: I still don't feel like this serial has any good story plot in it. The only thing interesting about it is SaiRat and their characted growth which is hadd se zyaada slow.

There you go! Now it feels complete.

Please do comment your thoughts on this, and whether you agree or disagree with my view. Also, please excuse my grammar.

Bye!

Thank you for this analysis, agree sai does not know how to live with a joint family. She is trying hard to gel wtith them and learning their behaviour each day. As long as for her to realise virat's feelings, ashwinii clearly pointed it out she has to think as being virat's wife and that trait will happen with time. Now she is just trying to please his family and to be accepted.

I agree Sai is doing all she can to get accepted by Virat's family.

I am actually happy that Sai gave that pendant to Kaku. It's a brilliant move. Of course, Sai didn't plan anything and gave it simply because Kaku liked it. But the end result was great.

Kaku got impressed by the act. I know people might think that Virat's feelings got hurt. But it is our Veeru baby. Even if Sai stamps on him, he won't feel bad and continue to love her. But his love alone is not enough for Sai to live peacefully. She needs all the other's love and support as well.

Because of her action, Virat is not affected much. Otherwise, he would not have happily come back to her to give again the same gift. So, no damage is done, I guess.

Kaku is so evil but still gave back the pendant to Virat when he asked. She could have easily denied him saying that either she will take both or ask him to give the new one to Sai or stupidly ask him to buy one for pakhi as well. But she didn't do anything as such and happily gave it back because Sai impressed her today with her selflessness.

Yes....

I know chavans are evil and pakhi instigates that evilness in them....I sometime feel that if Pakhi is not in picture,(considering on chavans and Sai relationship) chavans would have accepted Sai by now...they would have already seen how good Sai is..... as Sai said whenever she does something good and chavans feel that she is good, Pakhi does something to remove as fraction of soft corner in chavans for Sai...... I always felt that Kaku sees how good Sai is and also impressed by her but doesn't express... and pakhi does something and influence chavans to be mean to Sai and remove any good impression on Sai....

Now a days any drama is started by Pakhi which instigates chavans against Sai... I think Chavans started seeing goodness of Sai and it started with acceptance of Devi...

Virat is so understanding.... unless he is not consumed in his anger because of his insecurities..... he understood her from the start even before marriage....

Yes, I totally agree that if pakhi is not in picture Chavans would have celebrated her. i always wondered how good it will be if Pakhi doesn't exist in SaiRat world. In fact, my first OS on SaiRat is Virat falling in love with Sai at first sight as he never went to the camp and came straight to join the duty 😃

Sai was not wrong in giving away the gift...If you see the scene clearly everytime they talked about Virat not caring about them, everytime she saw he is being blamed and shamed she felt bad. And she did that many women do in general in their normal lives.. I have also heard a lot of women coming up and sharing their set of stories. Joint family and all, such issues arrives. She did it for Virat and his family. For her the intention of the gift matters and not the gift.

Having said that , she was extremely wrong , insensitive the better word towards Virat and his feelings , when even after being told by PP and Virat's dismissal towards having food she could not understand it. NOt giving value to his gift is a rejection that Virat feel face/feel. She is too insensitive when it comes to Virat's feelings for her at times.. But like I said she also doesnt feel truly like a wife and hence she doesnt also feels the haq in certain terms. I am sure going by the precap she is going to dismiss the whole necklace and gift and that will add to Virat's misunderstandings about her feelings towards him. Ajinkya is anyway an added ghee to this fire.. For the first time Patralekha sounded sane and toned down about the gift. She gave the right advice and Sai being the egoist she is at times, denied to consider or take that advice. She is too much involved with giving back to Pakhi even at the expense of ignoring Virat's feelings.

Coming to the episode, Sunny-Virat convo was fun.. Infact Virat is realising that his family is not as great as he has seemed to have believed. He has special dislike towards his Omi Kaku. Kishoriji as Bhavani was great as Kaku..Her expressions seeing that not so good looking pendant and when Sai handed it to her was also great. I am sure she has started understanding in her head that Sai is not as bad as she thinks..Her conversation with Virat was a clear indication to it, she just changed the topic and Virat understood.Kishori ji's subtle expressions are worth a watch.. I hope they cut down Oscar Didi's SS and give Bhavani more SS.

Sai talking to Ajinkya and calling him yaar, is not something to be jealous about , considering Sai has seen a lot more than what Virat is witnessing or is to witness w.r.t. Sai's friendship. However I understand his insecurity and also hi jealousy. He just had to deal with Sai not understanding his hurt, gifting away his gift that had so many emotions in it. While he is trying to get it for her , back from Kaku, she is back to her own world. Virat feels insecure, because Sai does not make him feel important in that manner, in the manner he would want to feel. I also think the age gap kind of also plays with his insecurity. Till they dont bring the characterless angle, I am okay with this track and am looking forward to it because Neil will do a good job.

I was just thinking what if she calls Ajinkya handsome in front of Virat.😆

PS: Having a busy schedule , so a quick reply. Thoughts all scattered, please dont mind.

I don't think that that would have happened. Instead I feel like the opposite is the case. Had there been no Sai, I am pretty sure the Chavans wouldn't have like Pakhi as much as they do now. But eithout Pakhi, they still would have hated Sai because none of the factors which cause their hatred now would have been different. She would still be belonging to a low family(according to them), she would still questio their ways, and she woulds till question Devi Tai's condition.

But Pakhi on the other hand, is another case altogether. If we see the episodes before Sai's entry into CN, we can see that Bhavani treated Pakhi strictly too. Only after Sai did they realise that Pakhi can be of use to them, especially since she is Virat's "best friend".

What you said is also true in case of Pakhi....

But I personally feel that Sai has that capability to change them.... every person has some part of them which is good and she would have brought that good out.....

She has already changed Virat which is very evident in recent episodes.... he gives back them sometimes..... there is a lot of change in Virat who is seen in the start and now....
