Why Do The Tv Serials Keep On Running For Years without any logic

some people are so obsessed that they keep watching it no matter what happens and say its time pass for them... they like to see all nonsensical tracks never ending boring daily sagas

when said to watch movies - some people snob and give a deadly look as if we said something anti national  😆

they say they find movies and songs boring to watch for 2-3 hours where as tv serials they like new episodes every day and when a bollywood song dance is shown on tv serials they clap and dance on them

why such hypocrisy  😡

There's a simple rule Hollywood folks use: if you're in love with the plot, make it a movie. If you're in love with the characters and the setting, make it a series.

Fans of tele-serials are in love with the characters and the milieu. That's why it goes on and on, with outlandish conflicts and plots; twists, turns, etc.

As compared to TV shows in some countries Indian TV shows are not that long 👍🏼 and neither are they as bad as they are made out to be 🤡. Some people like TV shows, some movies,  some both 😎

Because producers like Ekta want to make money

It costs more to launch a new show than stretch a successful show

They are daytime oriented like from 1 pm to 3 pm and not primetime oriented like ITV.

India too had the concept of daytime shows and night time prime time shows.

For instance Shanti:Ek Aurat Ki Kahani and Junoon were running in parallel in 1994, I think. But Shanti was a day time show and was never telecast again till the next day with a new episode. At one point the story became so interesting that I would bunk lectures to watch it. Similarly Juonon was telecast only at night time and never repeated. If I am right, it was Junoon that started the concept of repeat telecast, that too daytime repeat telecast.

There was a slot for youngsters too, I think it was 4 o'clock slot where shows related to teenagers and youngsters were telecast. Slots prior to that were not specifically female oriented. For instance TV shows like Yug, Yugantar and quite a few others were about freedom struggle and changing times and on varied subjects.

Based on production values, quite a few of the TV shows telecast on Indian TV today can be easily said to be Prime Time TV shows.
