Brij Sahani-An Insecure Egoistic Man

Brij Sahani has been a insecure man from day 1. His treatment towards his son has been cruel and brutal. The reasoning the man has given is that his son is responsible for his wife passing away and him being handicapped. However, if we think about it the son has taken care of him and had actually taken up the father role and anyone would melt after this but not Brij Sahani.

After having an argument with family, he leaves home and arrives next day married. Marriage was done to flaunt a trophy wife to everyone and show off but in the muh dikhayi itself the man got a reality check that he is not worthy of Radha and thus the saga of insecurity began in BriDha's relationship. To overcome his own insecurity, he abuses her and is toxic towards such a precious soul who is trying to fit in and cherish a family, something she longed for.

Brij likes to be the victim every time though and doesn’t like taking responsibility for all of his wrong actions. He forgot about his first wife’s death anniversary and conveniently put the blame on Radha. Owning up and Brij Sahani don’t go together. Now the man goes to a brothel and lets someone else take the blame. He doesn’t even feel guilty and when exposed, blame Radha

Coming to him suspecting Uday and Radha’s relationship. Does he not trust his own son? He may not know Radha for long but Uday has been with him for 20years and has done so much for him. This man is going to lose 2 precious gems in his life because of his actions. 2 precious gems who love him unconditionally but who he doesn’t deserve.

Sony Tv you need to stop promoting BriDha. It is a tale of a toxic, abusive marriage and nothing more.

The way he plays a blame game and convienently tries to stay clear of accepting the truth that he is also a flawed human being is highly infuriating. 

Wonderful post Yashu 👏 You have summarised the problem of Brij beautifully here 👍🏼 Actually Brij thinks everyone on earth is like him having cravings for physical needs from anyone and everyone... He just can't think anything beyond a person's physical need. For him this is the only reason why people gets married... Platonic relationships definitely not his cup of tea thus he feels Radha will go to anyone else other than him just because he is handicapped and Uday will develop man-woman attraction towards Radha. He loved his 1st wife because in that era loving your wife who fulfills all marital duties was as common something as taking bath daily during summers... He is still unaware about the actual meaning of "Mohabbat" and obviously his is habituated with physical violence be it with Uday or Radha. Wonderful person he is... 🤔

His character frustrates me so much. Radha aur hum ko baksh do makers. We don't want to see non existent BriDha

Absolutely true Arpi, he doesn't understand other people's feelings and needs to think beyond his physical cravings but it doesn't seem like he is going to change😔

Agree, itna giraa hua aadmi hai. 😡 Radha toh bechari abhi aayi, lekin Uday had to tolerate this man for years. And not just tolerate, he loves him despite his toxic abusive nature. Aur badle mein baap ke naam pe kalank mila. No wonder Uday is the way he is, he must've yearned for love his whole life. I understand making flawed characters, but here pura ka pura aadmi sada hua hai. He is worse than villains because on top of that he is whiny and annoying. No redeeming qualities to me. Best he can do is die and leave Radha and Uday a sizable inheritance (if he has even that).

It is worse when you realise he does not have a clear communication channel with his family, talks so vaguely that noone knows what is on his mind, and then makes untrue assumptions. Uday had to become his step-in parent for years because of the hand restriction, and instead of being grateful that his son is doing that out of love and not pity, he still has subjected him to physical abuse whenever he is frustrated or instigated by Mogar. He married Radha because of his own need for a companion, but then expects too much from a girl almost his niece's age, and just because she is not meeting his needs and his own MU, HE goes elsewhere and then blames her for his shortcomings. He is Amru's good uncle when it comes to consoling/supporting her when her dad is upset, but when the time comes to act like a responsible adult and take the blame, he disappears from the scene.

Brij is nothing but an egoistic man for whom his ego is above everything... He can't accept the fact that he is unsuitable for a young and beautiful Radha, so he is finding ways to humiliate her to soothe his ego.... The way he lusts on Radha creeps me out.... The man thinks radha is also horny like him who goes after any young man be it his own son or son in law.... None of these youngsters deserves a creepy man like him in their lives.
