"This is similar to asking what is the difference between Coke and Pepsi, or McDonald's and Burger King, or Word and WordPerfect - Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are for all intents and purposes the same person, yet the Media Machine projects the two with perceived (subjective) differences so as to capture a larger share of the movie viewing market by targeting opposite ends of the consumer psychological profile spectrum.
There are people who will fight to the death over the differences between Chevrolet and Ford, yet what differences can there possibly be? Consumers (movie viewing audiences included) are dramatically polarized when it comes to brand names, and that's the only difference between these two celebrities - they each represent a brand cunningly engineered to appeal to the narcissistic tendencies of either the extrovert or the introvert personality type in order to create what is in effect an entertainment monopoly.
Propaganda experts, a.k.a. spin doctors, continuously saturate the mass media with corporate slogans and ad campaigns in the form of buzz words and trendy speak. The consumers (fans) of Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are thus unwittingly conditioned to see nonexistent differences between the two actresses. The purpose of this clandestine emotion-based plot is to cater to the consumer/fan ego with the hidden aim of bilking audiences of a larger percentage of their income via a delusion of cognitive dissonance. The operating principle of this psychological con game exploits feelings of prestige associated with personal preference.
Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are high profile examples of the devious strategy of cultivating brand loyalty for the exclusive purpose of maximizing gross profits and optimizing net proceeds. CEOs of entertainment dynasties are keenly aware that flattery will get them everywhere including deep into the pockets of their target audiences."
And both are horrible actresses...especially the wooden Katrina with her deadpan eyes, lifeless acting chops and flat line delivery. Deepika on the other hand is slightly more expressive compared to her rival but still she also sucks with her robotic dialogue delivery and one-note acting because she keeps hitting the same notes in every goddamn film!
So all in all, both are lousy performers!
