Baahubali.

More memorable characters, dialogues and songs.

I like GOW too especially because of the huge cast of characters and their interconnected storylines. But at times GOW is more indulgent than even Baahubali šŸ¤“.. while rajamouli indulged in grandeur, Anurag Kashyap indulges in violence and the grotesque...

Tbh Anurag Kashyap at times is as indulgent a filmmaker as the likes of KJO and SLB šŸ¤”... He only gets away because being dark is considered "cool". But that doesn't automatically make all his films superior.

The impact of GOW is huge . Almost 90% of OTT shows in india are somewhere inspired from this movie but no one came close to replicating it's popularity.

GOW . Even as a telugu person i disliked Baahubali 1 in theatre...it was snooze fest except for 3-4 sequences. I did not bother to watch BB-2 ...i think i did catch up a bit on netflix though...same thing...liked a few scenes rest is meh!

In GOW 1

Salman Khan in place of Manoj Bajpai

Katrina Kaif in place of Richa Chadda

In GOW 2

Hrithik Roshan in place of Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Deepika Padukone in place of Huma Qureshi

If it was the above casting, both films would have been bigger cult classics and massive all time blockbusters like Sholay or even bigger than that.

Wow this looks like disaster. Imagine this casting šŸ˜‚.. I think GOW was perfectly casted. A story from hindi belt of the country so it's only fair the actors are from there too. It doesn't matter that film didn't work at box office it still is considered a milestone for Bollywood. A cult hit status is anyway more precious than box office numbers.

Won't really hail AK as some legendary filmmaker but he definitely is a good storyteller. He sure has a taste for violence and abuses but in most of his films the character development is good which Slb and Kjo lack. Bahubali isn't a bad film at all.. In fact it's quite enjoyable but it's your basic storyline with serviceable performances. There is nothing in the movie that is memorable once you walk out from the cinema Hall. Also GOW has more iconic dialogues than Bahubali.

Not for me. Even if I keep my preferences aside I don't think it would be an unpopular opinion to say that overall Baahubali is more iconic than GOW and a vast majority of all Indian films.

Dialogues of GOW are more iconic? I don't think so- can't remember a single dialogue from GOW other than "uski kehke Lunga" šŸ˜†.... Some of Baahubali's dialogues I hold to heart like life lessons- especially Baahubali's & Sivagami's war speeches in part 1.

There is nothing memorable in Baahubali? Really?? The film is loaded with epic scenes and probably has some of the best character entry scenes ever.

Absolutely. Just the first part has so many iconic and peak moments like the opening baby scene, Shiv ling relocation wala song, Dheevara, Crossing the 5 elements to reach out to his mom, The statue scene, the big revelation, Shivgami’s past and then the war(though personally to me it was the least interesting bit).

And second part is loaded with several peak moments but more importantly a lot of life lessons that you can walk away with.

Haven't watched GOW so I didn't vote...

But Bahubali series (especially the sequel) were excellent...

That's why both films became blockbusters all over India, and even did well internationally...

And just saying no one outside Andhra/Telangana knew Prabhas or most of the other people in Baahubali before it came out, and the sequel still managed to become one of the top highest grossing films of 2017, and broke international records so...

Plus this series' success (along with Bajirao Mastani tbf) restarted the trend of making historic films in India, so it's iconic for sure!

Well I guess you are talking from ur point of view but if u actually go out there and put this poll on Twitter on insta then u might get ur answer on which one is more iconic. Bahubali no doubt has more mass appeal and has been watched by more people but when it comes to something that will be remembered for decades then it has to be GOW.

Seriously u don't remember any dialogue from the movie? The entire movie has been made into meme template even before it was considered cool... "Baap ka dada ka bhai ka sabka badla lega re tera Faisal".... " Beta tumse na ho payega".... "Jab tak hindustan mei cinema hai log chutiya bante rahenge".....I literally hear people quote these in their day to day lives and knew about these memes even before I watched the film.

In fact I don't remember any such iconic one from Bahubali series.. The only one I remember is Kattapa ne Bahubali ko kyu mara and that wasn't even a dialogue from the movie.
