Part 6
By now Malhar understood that her sweet behavior towards him when Moksh is around only to show him that everything is going fine between his aayi and baba so that moksh doesn’t get upset. Malhar sits in the balcony holding his phone and watching the pictures of him and kalyani. a smile appears on his face as those pictures remind him of the time they spent together. How fun-loving Kalyani was before and she used to love taking selfies. She used to stand for what is right and was always ready to fight back when someone hurt her self-respect.
This makes him think about how much kalyani has changed now. In the last 5 months kalyani never fought back even when he misbehaved with her, treated her like a door mat and always insulted her, taunted her and punished her for things that she was never involved in or been a part of it. He could now understand that all the emotional, physical and mental torture he put her through in last 5 months has completely changed kalyani into different person who is now more serious, doesn’t smile often or talk much and just concentrates only on her office work then comes home and fulfill her duties as a mother. Kalyani doesn’t have any social life anymore. And this is all because of him. he insulted her many times in front of her friends and relatives and stopped her from meeting her friends or going out anywhere else other than office, moksh’s school, market, and home.
Malhar now starts to understand that how much his cruelty has affected an innocent girl. He understood the seriousness of the matter and why kalyani is doing all this and why she is trying to avoid him as much as possible. He feels ashamed of himself. He feels that whatever Kalyani is doing now is completely right. He also thinks that maybe after seeing his dark side’ for 5 months kalyani has started hating him. And she is not wrong, why would anyone love and respect a person who always took her for granted and never understood her value and treated her like shit.
That night malhar looks at kalyani’s old pictures and her happy face and thinks about what he has done to her and cries whole night and slips in deep sleep while sitting near the balcony. That night he gets a dream that Kalyani is wearing a beautiful saree and comes running towards him, he spreads his hands to hug her but soon realizes that she runs past him and hugs someone else, that person hugs her back, later they hold hands and walks away. Malhar suddenly wakes up from his sleep and realizes that its just a nightmare.
Even though Malhar has realized his mistakes, he can think of letting go Kalyani or setting her free from this marriage. Because he cant live without her, he thinks that even though he has done terrible mistakes in past, he still has some hope that Kalyani still loves him. because Malhar has always been love of her life, that is the reason why she couldn’t think of dating any other guy in past 5 years when she was away from Malhar and was free from any commitments as they got divorced before they got separated.
Malhar is now ready to do anything and try all possible ways to win back Kalyani’s heart. He is ready to do anything it takes to make Kalyani smile again be her old self. He gets up from bed with new enthusiasm and gets ready for his new mission that is winning back Kalyani’s trust and love.
Kalyani was in the kitchen making breakfast. Malhar goes to moksh who was getting ready to go to school. Malhar hugs moksh and tickles him.moksh starts laughing. Then Malhar starts his plan.
Malhar: moksh beta, tuje roz sirf teri aayi school chodne jaati hai na?
Moksh: haan.
Malhar: beta soch agar aaj se roz teri aayi saat saat tere baba bhi tuje school chodne jaayenge tho kitna maza aayega na.
Moksh: lekin baba school hi tho hai, koyi bhi chodne jaaye, padayi tho karni hi padegi na. aap tension mat lo baba aayi muje school chod degi.
Malhar thinks (yeh bilkul apni aayi pe gaya hai)
Malhar: lekin moksh beta zara soch, agar aayi baba dono tuje school chodne jaayenge tho tu tere friends ko dikha sakta hai na ki tere aayi aur baba dono tujse kithna pyaar karte hai, ithne busy hone ke baawjood bhi dono tuje roz school chodne aate hai.
Moksh thinks for few seconds.
Moksh: haan baba aap ne bilkul sahi bola.
He hugs Malhar. Malhar is happy that his plan is working.
Kalyani goes to her car along with Moksh, she opens the door to keep moksh’s school bag in the car and she notices that Malhar is sitting in the driving seat.
Kalyani: aap? Aap yeha kya kar rahe hai? Yeh meri gaadi hai, aap ki vehicle waha hai. Jaayiye..aur wiase bhi aaj already late hogaya hai, muje moksh ko bhi school mein drop karna hai.
Malhar just sits there without paying attention to what Kalyani is saying. Kalyani gets annoyed seeing his behavior.
Kalyani: hello..officer rane..aap se baat kar rai hoon main. Sun bhi rahe hai aap? utariye meri gaadi se.
Malhar still doesn’t look at her. Kalyani gets irritated.Moksh comes there.
Moksh; kya hua aayi? Jaldi chalo na muje dher ho rai hai,late hogi tho teacher muje punishment degi.
Kalyani: yeh baat apni baba se kaho, humari gaadi meinaake bait gaye hai. Meri baat hi nay sun rahe hai. Unki hi wajah se hum dono ko late hojayega aaj.
Moksh: lekin aayi baba bhi tho humare saat ja rahe haina, muje school chodne.
Kalyani: humare saat? School chodne? Kyun? Aaj taktuje sirf main hi school chodne aati thi na?
Malhar gets tensed thinking moksh might tell kalyani the truth. So, interrupts kalmoksh conversation.
Malhar: woh..moksh chahta tha ki aaj se uska aayi aur baba dono milke usse saat mein chodne jaaye.
Moksh looks at Malhar. Malhar puts a finger on his lips as if asking moksh to not to tell anything. Moksh being a smart kid understands what Malhar is trying to say.
Kalyani: accha teek hai, chalo ab jaldi gaadi mein baito, dher ho rai hai.
All three of them get into the car.
