Part 5

next morning malhar wakes up and realizes that he is sleeping outside the house, but there was a blanket on him, he thinks that kalyani has put the blanket on him, he smiles. Moksh comes there running.

Moksh: baba aap raat ko yeha kyun sogayete? Main ne subah utar dekha tho aap ko tand lag rai thi, tho main ne aap par yeh blanket daaldi, abhi aap tand nay lagraha hai na baba?

Hearing this malhar got disappointed. He hugged moksh and thanked him for blanket. Malhar goes to his room, kalyani was not there, he gets ready and looks for kalyani (as he was appointed as her security officer they go to office together every day). Malhar couldn’t find her anywhere in the house. Malhar sees anupriya in kitchen.

Malhar: maayi aap ne kalyani ko dekha? Office keliye dher ho rai hai aur subah se kahi dikhi nay muje.

Anupriya: kalyani? Who tho kab ka office chaligayihai, usne bola tha ki uski koyi zaroori meeting hai, tho subah subah hi nikhalgayi ghar se.

Malhar thinks she might have thought not to disturb him as he was sleeping and left alone for the meeting. He goes to office. Enters her cabin without knocking. Kalyani was in meeting, everyone stares at malhar, he apologizes for the interruption, he wants to talk to kalyani, he looks at her asking her to come out for a second.

Kalyani: officer aap thodi dher bahar wait keejiye, main ek important meeting main hoon. Meeting ke baadh main aapko bulaongi.

Malhar notices the difference in her behavior. He wanted to ask her the reason immediately. But as she is DM in the office, no this wife, he nods his head and closes the door and waits outside. Meeting finishes in 2hrs and its lunch break.

Finally, those people come out of her cabin with whom kalyani had a meeting. Malhar didn’t waste a second after that. He enters the cabin and shuts the door behind. he goes to kalyani who was busy checking some papers and she didn’t realize that malhar is in her cabin. Malhar gets angry thinking that kalyani is purposefully ignoring him. But he calms himself down thinking he already lost so much in his due to his anger and impulsive behavior.

Malhar: kalyani aaj tum muje bina bataye office aagayi..kyun?

Kalyani looks up hearing the voice. She realizes that she almost forgot that malhar was waiting for her, outside.

Kalyani: ohh sorry officer, main meeting ki chakkar mein main bhool gayi kia ap ko main ne bahar wait karke keliye bolata, batayiye aap ko mujse kuch baat karni thi na.

Malhar: main pooch raha hoon ki tum muje bina bataye office q aagayi? Roz hum saat mein aate hai na. aur yeh ‘officer’ kya lagarakha hai?

Kalyani: oh haan main aap ko inform karna bhool gayithi. Aap ko aaj se meri security keliye kaam karne ki zaroorat nay hai. Commissioner ne mereliye naye security officer appoint kiya hai. Isiliye main ne subah aapko utaya nay. And aapka dusra sawaal ki main ko officer q bulati hoon, iska jawaab hai ki yeh office hai, and yeha logon ko professionally hi address karte hai. And personal tho ab humare beech kuch hai bhi nay. So main aaj se office mein aapko officer hi bulaongi. And I would appreciate agar aap bhi muje madam kehkar bulaye. Yeh basic manners hota hai apne high officials ki taraf.

Malhar gets shocked hearing this from kalyani and to see her changed attitude.

Malhar: lekin kalyani..maaf keejiye..madam, main aapki security officer hone ka duty acche se nibha raha hoon na, tho aap ne naye officer ko kyun…

Kalyani: muje lagta hai aap kisike bodyguard banne sezyaada logon ko torture karne mein zyaada kabil hai...

Malhar looks at her, he understood what she was trying to say.

Kalyani: I mean, aap mujirimon ko torture karke sach ugalwane mein kaafi talented hai, isiliye aapko aapki ACP ki job waapas dilwayana hai main ne.

Malhar was surprised to hear this. Kalyani gives him an envelope. It was his promotion letter. He got his ACP position back. Malhardidn’t know how to react. ACP position matters to him a lot, he always wished to get back his position in the last 5 years. Now finally his wish has come true. But this good news isn’t giving him much satisfaction because he will no longer be able to stay near kalyani. She broke their personal relation last night and today she took away his only chance to stay close to her. All this is too much for malhar to handle. He is not being able to understand if she is doing this out of love as she promoted him as ACP and she knows how much this means to malhar, or she is doing this to keep him away from her. Without saying anything malhar just salutes her as she is a DM and leaves from there.

After he leaves, kalyani in her cabin..

Kalyani: main jaanti hoon malharji meri behavior se aapko takleef pahunch raha hai. Par yehi ab hum dono keliye sahi hai ki hum ek dusre se jithna ho sake dhoor rahe.

Malhar near his vehicle, outside kalyani’s office. He angrily kicks the vehicle tire. Tears running down his eyes, thinking kalyani is avoiding him, he is not being able to bear this thought and everything that she is doing.

In the evening. Kalyani is running behind moksh to feed him food, moksh comes running and hides behind malhar. Kalyani tries to catch him but malhar helps moksh to hide behind him not letting kalyani reach moksh.

Moksh: baba muje bachao, ayifi muje khana khila khilake mota kardena chahti hai..

Kalyani: accha? Abhi tak ek bhi roti poora nay khaya,aur baatein lambi lambi kar raha hai, pillu idhar aa.. dekh muje bahut kaamhai, muje thang mat karo, idar aa..

Malhar: accha ek min, moksh apni baba ka baat maanegana beta, apni aayi ko ayisa thang nay karte. Ek roti khale uske baadh koyi tuje pareshan nay karega.

Moksh: teek hai par meri ek sharat hai..

Kalyani: kaisa sharat?

Moksh: baba ko bhi khana hoga, pehle baba ko khilao.

Hearing this malhar and kalyani looks at each other.

Malhar: moksh who…

Kalyani puts forward her hand to feed malhar. Malhar is surprised to see kalyani wanting to feed him. malhar thinks that if she wants, she could have made an excuse but didn’t. Malhar was happy thinking that kalyani is just angry with him but she still loves him. Somewhere deep down her heart she still feels for him. kalyani feeds malhar and moksh.

Malhar decides to close this matter tonight by properly apologizing to kalyani and trying to convince her that he won’t repeat his mistakes. He stands in front of the mirror and practices on how he is going talk to her and what he would say..

He waits for an hour she still doesn’t come. He gets worried and goes to check. Kalyani was nowhere to be seen. He sees that moksh’s room door is open. He goes there and sees kalyani is peacefully sleeping next to moksh.
