A little girl is running towards the swing,with her ponytails swaying merrily,while her father was running behind her,asking to slow down.
"Riddhima beta,aaram se.. Gir jaogi bacche!!" Her father warned,faking anger.
A man,in his mid 30s,sitting on a nearby bench,raised his head as he heard the name, "Riddhima." He looked at the direction of the voice and found a little girl,who was laughing merrily as her father pushed her from her behind.
His heart started to beat rapidly. A cool breeze grazed his face,as he felt calm from inside. He closed his eyes to feel the air when suddenly heard someone wailing silently.
He turned his head to find the girl sitting beside him,wailing softly. It pinched his heart. The girl's eyes' resembled Riddhima's eyes,he thought.
"Kya hua beta?? Aap ro kyun rahe ho??" He asked softly.
"Mere papa.. Hum log hide and seek khel rahe thhe,main unhe dhund nahi paa rahi hu.." She replied with a sob.
"Koi nahi beta.. Aap mere paas baitho.. Aapke Papa aajayenge.. (thinks to ask her name, to reassure his doubts) waise,aapka naam kya hai?" He asks,pulling her on his lap.
"Mera naam Riddhima Sharma hai.. Papa aur Mumma pyaar se Riddhu bulate hai!!" She replied with a smile,innocence in her tone.
He closed his eyes and let the tears fall down. He rubbed his hand over his chest and tried to calm his erratic heartbeats.
He was in deep thoughts when he heard the girl asking him, ''aapka naam kya hai,Uncle?"
"Vansh Rai Singhania.. Aap mujhe Vansh uncle bula sakti ho.." Vansh replied with a sad smile,caressing the girl's cheeks.
"Sheeee!!! Mere gaalo ko touch mat karo!! Mujhe accha nahi lagta!!" The girl made a face,which made him smile and took him down the memory lane,where he remembered that Riddhima also hated the fact when someone used to pull her cheeks.
He was brought out of the reverie,when he heard the man's voice,looking for his daughter.
"Arey Mr. Rai Singhania?? Aap aur idhar??? Pleasure to meet you!!! Main Alekh Sharma,aapke office ke legal advisor!!" Alekh introduced himself and shook hands with Vansh.
"Kuch personal kaam se aaya thha!! By the way,aapki beti bohut pyaari hai.." Vansh replied.
"Thank you,Sir. Sab se ghul mil jaati hai.. Mera ghar paas mein hi hai.. Ek cup chai pee jaiye.. Mujhe aur meri biwi ko accha lagega." Alekh insisted.
"Its really okay.. Kisi aur din aaunga!!" Vansh resisted.
"Please sir,i insist.. Mere liye na sahi,toh Riddhu keliye chaliye.." Alekh said.
Vansh smiled softly and picked Riddhima up in his lap. Alekh's house was at a 5 minute distance and both the men walked till the house.
Alekh took Riddhima from Vansh's lap and asked her to tell Mumma to make two cups of tea,while they sat on the garden.
"Aapka ghar bohut sundar hai!! Bohut jaani pehchaani si lagrahi hai,pata nahi kyun??" Vansh said,with a confusing tone.
"Hain na?? Yeh meri biwi ki dost ka ghar hai!! She gifted to us as our wedding gift. (turned to see his wife,coming with tea and snacks)."
"There she comes.." "Meet my wife,Sejal Sharma.."
Sejal was shocked to the core to see Vansh over here,after 5 long years. Same goes with Vansh. All the memories of Riddhima being hurt by him,her crying and saddened face came infront of her mind. Tears automatically trickled down her eyes but it was quickly replaced by anger.
She kept the tray in the table and went near a visibly shocked Vansh. Before Vansh could speak a word,a loud slap landed on Vansh's face,which echoed in their surroundings,scaring Riddhima a lot. She hid behind her Papa.
"Alekh,aap please Riddhu ko andar le jaiye aur tv on kardijiye,taaki woh bahar na aaye." Sejal said while ,Alekh took Riddhima inside.
After a while,he came out,totally confused by the behaviour of Sejal. He went near Sejal and asked her to calm down while he also questioned her for her actions.
"Sejal,shaant ho jao.. Why are you behaving like this???'' Alekh asked,softly.
"Alekh,aap itne dino se puch rahe thhe na ki meri dost Riddhima ka pati kahaan hai,kya karta hai??? Yeh raha aapke saamne.. VANSH RAI SINGHANIA..."
"WHAT????" Alekh was shocked to hear this.
"Ji haan.. Issi ke wajah se aaj meri dost nahi hai mere saath... Mar chuki hai woh 4 saal pehle..." Sejal sobbed loudly,holding Alekh's hand.
Vansh was shocked to hear what Sejal said.. His Riddhima died??? He slumped down due to the shock. Aangre rushed in and held his Boss,instantly.
"Jaante hai aap iss insaan ne kya kya kiya meri Riddhu ke saath??" Sejal asked and told him everything,from the start till the end.
"Arey!!! Iski sauteli maa,chachi aur sagi behen ne rehem nahi dikhayi toh yeh kya khaak rehem dikhayega Riddhu par??? Riddhu ne galti ki Kabir se andha pyaar karke aur uski baato mein aake woh chali gayi Vansh par jasoosi karne,par jab Kabir aur Anupriya ke sach saamne aaya ki kaise usne Riddhu ko apne pyaar ke jaal mein phasaya, saach jaanne ke baad, woh bechari toot gayi thhi."
"Vansh mein usse pyaar dikha.. Uske parivaar mein apni khoye huye parivaar ko dhundne lagi par kuch sapne adhure hi reh jaate hai.. Uss Anupriya,Chanchal chachi aur Maharani Ishaani ke wajah se kuch kar nahi payi woh.. Har baar woh teeno koi na koi raasta dhundte thhe Riddhu ko thhes pohchane ki aur maarne ki.. Aryan bhi kam nahi thha.. Main jab Riddhu se milne keliye gayi thhi,tab usne aur uski woh Maa ne milke mujhe kidnap kiya aur torture kiya,taaki main Vansh ko kuch na bolu. Phir kya??? Baki ka toh aapko pata hi hai!!! Isiliye,mujhe iss insaan se itni gehri nafraat hai..."
Vansh could feel the hatred in Sejal's words. He deserved this hatred from her,after he hurt her best friend. He threw Riddhima out from his life due to the fact that she was a spy in his house,but he didnt know that it would cost him a big time.
Alekh took Sejal in his embrace and let her cry,for he knew that she needs to cry it out; she needs to let out her supressed pain.
Sejal came out of Alekh's embrace and turned to face Vansh...
"Itna zeher thha tumhare andar Riddhu ke khilaaf,toh kyun kiya usske saath pyaar ka dikhaava??? Arey woh bechari itni bholi nikli ki tumhare nafrat aur zeher ko pyaar samajh baithi!!! Usne yeh nahi socha ki wahi pyaar zeher ka roop leke uski jaan le legi... Riddhu didnt deserve a beast like you,you dont deserve love,Vansh.. Tum akele thhe aur humesha rahoge... Chale jao yahaan se.. Aainda apni shakal mat dikhana mujhe... Jaooo!!!" Sejal shouted,asking him to leave.
Vansh was taken away by Aangre,who didnt speak a word throughout the journey. Only tears fell down. He closed his eyes and wished for a moment to have Riddhima and seek apologies from her for every injustice happened to her,for whatever he did to her.
He just wanted to have her,so that,he could take away all her pain and fill it with love and happiness,but,alas,that wont happen now,as she left him.. FOREVER..
