What happened to Aishwarya’s long Hollywood list of movies?

People say Veer Zaara and Chalte Chalte were a loss. Aishwarya had a long list of Hollywood movies that never got made:

Chaos

Dot or Feather

Rearranged

Windfall

Racing the Monsoon

Homebody/Kabul

Taj Mahal

and many more

I don’t think Salman impacted these movies.

I think lack of money and bad scripts made these movies shelved. What is your take?

These movies were announced in 2004 and early 2005. Long before Bachchan Bahu times.

A lot of this was exaggerated by her PR .

Then I suppose all these movies were never in making and it was all just PR. She never got caught because it wasn't an age of social media.

Chaos had Meryl Streep. Aishwarya confirmed many times she signed the movie. Racing the Monsoon was announced with Michael Douglas. Everything was done right. The movies never got made. She was even supposed to do a Disney movie called Rearranged. Then it got shelved and she had to settle for Umrao Jaan. Aishwarya would have been a huge Hollywood star. If she made all these movies then it would have been a huge boost to her filmography.

To bad.

She prioritized her family over her career. She prioritized Indian films over foreign ones. Also she wasn't comfortable with nudity and sex scenes. Aishwarya never struck me as someone who will go out of her comfort zone if she is not enjoying it.

She had Will Smith, Brad Pitt and many other top stars and directors eating out of her palm. She wasn't impressed.

May be that episode she had with Harvey Weinstein really put her off from Hollywood.

She refused to do intimate scenes although she was fine doing those with Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik
