Suman was seated in the dark corridor, with incoherent voices echoing around her tired self.
Suman Tiwari - accused.
The cannibal behind the white robes.
Mingled with terrorists?
Pulling through sleepless nights and a thousand accusations, she was here - alone and weary. The cell was dirty and smelly with just a beam of light jutting in through the ventilator on the top of the endless gray wall behind her bench.
She kept staring at the floor tiles and the stains on them, waiting for her interrogation.
Within minutes, a man in uniform appeared in front of her. He had a well maintained physique and had tough eyes, with hints of grey shining through his otherwise black hair.
He was followed by two officers from his team.
Suman rose and gave a befitting army salute to the Chief of Army Operations, Lieutenant General Rathore.
Her eyes though, were firmly fixed upon the Captain accompanying the old man.
He pulled a chair and sat, facing her.
"So, Ms. Tiwari. Is silence your final word? I believe you have nothing more to say than what you've already specified?"
"Yes sir!"
Her fierce cry resonated through the empty room. Her hopes were diminishing but her grit was deep rooted, as always.
"Then let us see you in court."
The General left, leaving behind Suman in the solitary company of Captain Shravan Malhotra, the officer in charge of the case.
He walked upto her slowly and remarked,
"Do you realise that the evidence is solid. Assuming in a rare possibility, even if you ain't guilty, you are certainly not innocent."
She nodded, looking right into his eyes.
"You'll soon get to know."
Was all she said.
Shravan smirked and walked away, disappearing into the dark. There was an audible creek of the rusty door followed by a bang. After that, silence.
...
"Captain Shravan, there's an urgent call for you." His secretary informed him.
He lifted the receiver on his table and introduced himself sternly.
"If your life is dear to you, drop the Tiwari-Razak case right now."
He smiled and cut the call, unaffected.
"Who was it?"
Asked Rathore, entering his cabin.
"Nothing Officer, just a trivial cross communication, perhaps."
"Oh well then. Let me give you this news. The girl refuses to open her mouth, so prepare her case file and keep me posted. I'm heading to the Shillong base camp for a supervisory visit."
"Yes sir, Jai Hind!"
Shravan smiled softly and curled his fists.
The day was finally here. The day he'd been waiting for.

Hello folks!
Just got this idea today morning, when I was going through my old stories.
This will be extremely crisp and short.
The plot is set in an AU with the pre leap portion remaining the same.
Also there would be some new characters and some old ones in new roles.
Do leave behind your thoughts about it!
