Naagin 5 - Double Take 3

Okay, so fellas, I am back with my weekend review of Naagin, and I must say, I enjoyed Sunday night's episode very much. It was so good, that I just don't want to explain it one sentence here, but in more detail. So here it goes:

Highlights - Yayyy!👍🏼

Episode Direction & Editing - And this is for the Sunday episode. I am sorry, but the Saturday episode was very weird. The editing and VFX were terrible and the episode, in general, was very thanda. I did not like the Saturday episode as much, only the VAni moments were good, otherwise I was not pleased at all. On Sunday, the episode was on a roll. And mostly because Veeranshu Singhania stole the show as the most cunning, and sly Cheel. I was all applauds for this guy. I have never seen a hero moving from strength to strength in episodes. This guy is just too good. And the episode was seamless - Veer's trap, Bani's resurrected mind, crafty Jai, oblivious Cheel family. Oh man, I was very very impressed. Hats off to Ranjan sir for such a fabulously directed episode and all my prayers for his speedy recovery.

Bani and Veer in form - Isse na sangat ka asar kehte hai😉. Cheelo ke saath reh reh kar iss bandi ka mara hua dimaag phir se zinda ho raha hai. Aur pati ka dimaag aisa ho to bhai biwi ko bhi dimaag lagana padta hai kabhi na kabhi. I mean Bani ko yaad aaya that if she kills an innocent she loses her ability to mask herself, which takes her to the cave, and she joins to dots to realize that someone from among the Cheels has killed Teer, and she hasn't. But this is going to be a hard task to prove who did it. She knows Veer cannot, but that leaves an entire family, from which she has to scour out Shukla. Essentially, she should start with Mayuri, ussi ke zariye she can reach the rest. Coming to Veer. Matlab bow down to this guy. He is the first Naagin hero whom I seem to like even more than Ritik. I mean Ritik was charming, sweet, and decent. And then we have Veer who is crafty, sly, and devious. This man loves Bani, but he isn't blind. He knows she is different, just like he and his family are, but he is still trying to figure her out. Well, God knows when will this cat and mouse game end, but I am sure for one thing that when Veer says na ki "Main nafrat karta hoon" blah blah se, uska kuch aur hi rang dekhne ko milta hai. He hates Bani, but look at the guy, he always finds ways to keep her close to him. He says he hates shape-shifting serpents and he will punish Jai, but Bani, nah boss. Tumse na ho payega, bhul jao. He will be hurt and angry just like in Teer's case, but won't be able to hurt her or allow others to do the same.

Hair tucking moment - Jab bhi Veer Bani ke hair lock ko tuck karne jaata hai, baar baar Bani rok deti hai, chhuna mat mujhko bolkar. But Saturday ko Veer ko chance mil gaya dance karte waqt. He tucked her hair and then he said, "Now, I am happy", when she asked him, "ab khushi ho tum" for not looking into his eyes. That was a subtly cute moment. Also, the one on Sunday when she calls him "Veer", he likes it. Like these small moments make Veer and Bani, VAni. it was "awwww".

Highlights - Nayyy!👎🏼

Morni and Magarmach - Koi mujhko samjhao ke bhaiyya ho kya raha tha Saturday ko? Nag me morni, morni me nag. What happened to the VFX team? When she is Mayuri, they should have shown her morni skin, uss par Jai ka skin chada diya. Then when Jai was transforming, achanak se kahaan se mor pankh udd ke aaya, and he becomes a Mor. What the hell was going on. Ye Cheelo ke ghar me roz ka jungle kaand kaise hote hai be. Thoda to, thoda sa logic maintain ho sakta hai ya woh bhi nahi. Kya chal kya raha tha woh, no one knows.

Jai's assholery - Ye "Boss" banega. Munna tujhko banana hota na to Bholenath hi banate tujhko. Lekin tune khud saabit kiya hai ki tu kisi layak nahi hai. Jo tha,woh bhi haath se chala gaya. Ab innocent logo ki bajaye ja raha hai for fun. Like it makes no sense. Aur ye Shukla aur Mayuri ka boss banega. Waah! Iss chomucharan ko bachane ke liye, Bani argue karti hai, badtameezi karti hai, aur hum logo ko sehna padta hai. Veer kaise jhelta hai iss ladki ko yaar. Sahi kehta hai Veer, woh pehle bhi dasta tha, ab bhi dasega. Bas Bani ko kab samajh aayega ye to Shiv ji jaane. Lekin jab aayega, tab mujhko dekhna hai ki behen karti kya hai? Jinko dushman samajhti hai unke saath rishte kaise badalte hai,aur jinhone dosti ke naam pe dushmani nibhayi hai unke saath kya karti hai.

Observations:

I have many to give here:

Number one, what makes Jai think that he can outsmart Veer. Aaj saabit ho gaya that whenever Jai will try to sabotage Bani in any way, he will himself fall in that trap, and he will have to face Veer. Veer specifically laid that trap for Bani, but Bani used her mind and devotion to Bholenath to come out of it unscathed. But Jai, he is a bum. He thinks he is very smart, but he proved it today he is useless. All he can do is make useless plans, vent out his frustration, and do nothing. In the meantime, Bani is getting closer to the truth and Veer is playing the death card for him. Bloody sore loser this Jai is.

Number two, Jai is such a moron. Dude, you can see you have lost your ability to mask yourself. Why head on a killing spree? Just for the heck of it. I mean uss par Brahma hatya ka dosh hai, which has diminished his strengths and he is continuously toying with his powers. I mean even Shesha and Vishakha killed people, but I never found them so irritating as much as I find him.

Number three, Bani should really give her baseless arguments with Veer a break. Is she stupid or something. You can sense the man can see your game and you are continuously pushing him, taunting him, and toying with him for Jai??? What is wrong with her? You are guilty. You killed an innocent man for Jai. You should shut the f**k up. But no, her audacity is limitless. This is just taking undue advantage of Veer's limits. Hope next week, we can see some sense driven into her.

Number four, ye Markat shaitaan to bade thali ke baingan hai yaar. Bani dushman vansh se hai phir bhi he gave her access to Teer's coffin? Ye kya game khel raha hai be. Sabko bech khayega kya ye. Sabko use kar raha hai. Shukla ko, Bani ko, Cheel family ko. Ye kaisa devta hai. Aur, Bani behen tum to Naagvanshi ho na, to tumko kaise pata ki Mrityu ke Devta ki puja kaise hoti hai, kaunse mantra bole jaate hai? Hum sab yahaan burbak nahi hai. Hamare brains ko thoda credit dekar dhang ki cheeze dikhao na yaar?

Number five, Rudraksh ka Mayajaal. Waah. Naam sunte hi lagta hai pata nahi kya top hai. But koi mujhko ye samjhao, jo Markat Shaitaan ki puja karte ho, unko Rudraksh kaise mil jaata hai. Bholenath to Naagvanshi ke ishtdev hai, to rudraksh Cheel kaise use ya touch karte hai. Now you will tell me, normal human wala angle hoga. Lekin agar aisi baat hai, to normal human jaise khaana khaye, ye log to khana sunke aise baukhla gaye the, jaise bahut hi bada paap kar liya ho.

Number six, ye Veer ki akal jo dushman ke mamle me itni pharrate se chalti hai, woh family ke mamle me band kyun ho jati hai be? Miyan biwi ek jaise hai. Apno ke mamle me andhe. Kya bola woh Tapish ko? Aap ko keh raha hu, kyunki aap raaz rakhna jante ho.Waah beta. Jab pata chalega na, ki kya kya raaz rakha hai Tapish "bhai" ne tab dekhungi kya hota hai. Ahili ke language me "Aatank hi Aatank".😆

And lastly, precap was fun, but I am sure dhaabewala will survive. If Shukla and Mayuri cannot, then Bani will try. But my bets are on Mayuri and Shukla. They will save him in all probability. I am assuming issi jungle kaand ke baad Bani ko pata chalega. She is real close, like real close, so I think we can look forward to Jai's revelation to Bani as well as Shukla and Mayuri.

Okay, ye akhri hai, kisi ne ye notice kiya that pura scene aise laga jaise saara Cheel khandaan Jai ko gher ke maar raha ho Bani ko protect karne liye. Like Veer ne Bani ko upar band kar diya Jai se akele deal karne ke liye and pura khandaan jut gaya Jai ke puch ko dabochne ke liye. Mujhko aisa sachmuch laga. See, we are aware of Jai being villain, but Bani isn't. But indirectly, the scene developed into something like Veer and family protecting Bani from Jai's devious schemes, instead of trying to punish him for Ponky's state and Teer as well. I hope aisa kuch Bani ke liye aage jaake kare ya dikhaye. Pura "awwwwww" wala moment ho jayega.

I want to first mention Sharad and Surbhi for their sterling qualities as actors on performing such vast emotions requiring scenes. VaNi’s angst, the tension, hurt, vulnerability, yet fearlessness were brilliantly executed.

Sunday’s episode was outstanding and I want to talk about particularly from the part when Veer exposed Jay in front of everyone, including Bani. I am so grateful to Ekta for not making the leads, especially male leads being in any compromise situation where they feel “majboor”. VaNi are well sorted individuals with flaws.

Just like you, it kinda shook me a bit that markat baba actually allowed Bani to be able to get Teer ka coffin? Like how? 😆 And trusted Dushman Naagin and Bani was able to convinced him. Is it because she is Mrs. Cheel now? 😛

Ye Tapish main koi jhol hai Pakka. Meri batti aur bhi jali when Veer says, saare raaz pe ap parda rakhte hain” sahe baat hai, don’t become a shocker if Tapish gives you 1000 volt ka jhatka in the future for hiding something buht bara😆

Veer announcing Jay being alive was not a jolt to Bani and he noticed. He didn’t say a word in front of anyone, didn’t make a fuss and planted any doubts in the Cheel clan regarding Bani rather he took a sensible route and discussed the matter in their own privacy. How do I describe Veer? He is very vigilant and mature when it comes to dealing with delicate matters regarding Bani. He let her do her things to certain limit, then he bounces back and gives an expert judgement of the things happening around them so bluntly. I was expecting a mad looking Veer once finding out that Jay is alive and Bani doesn’t feel remorse of killing Teer. Instead, usko gussa tha, Lekin apne ap pe bhi control tha. He asked her to find ways to assemble back her deed. And he asked “tum ne jo kiya, Sahe kese karo gi jawab do?” The Akesh soul doesn’t allow him to be too harsh on her, rather it let him asked her strictly. Then, us sawal ko aur barhate howe he went on asking “kahin esa toh nahe tum usee chup chup ke mil rahe thi?” Wow!! This is what I would like to praise him for. He didn’t feel hesitate to think of another possible scenario since Bani didn’t react the way he was expecting when he told Jay is alive. He knew no reaction from her will give him more chances to interrogate her further and he did exactly that. “Main ne jab tum se kaha woh icchaadhaari naag hai, tumhare maathe pe shikangh tak nahe ayi”

What surprised me was “phele bhi dasta tha sala aur agge bhi dasta rahe ga” “kuch nahe badle ga” Something to think about here. Did Veer for a mini second uttered a truth related to Satyug? Did Hiriday attack him, plotted anything against him or the Cheel clan? That symbolize a good chunk of past wounds and present situation. Wese bhi Shukla buht bar keh chuka hai ke Veer ko pher se agar sab kuch yaad agaya toh sab barbaad hojaye ga.

Veer Indirectly apprised Bani for possible danger from Jay when She said she doesn’t care as it’s no important.. “ important hai” Veer said. Veer has told so many solid points and warned her to be stay away from him while he will make sure, he keeps her under his surveillance. His doubts on Bani has became 10 folds more and he won’t take any chances of letting her slip so easily. Now that he knows Jay is alive and is iccha dhaari naag. He will be extra cautious and I totally love how keenly he was planning.

Everything about the last scene was indicative and intriguing. There was all sorts of thrills. I feel this season story is very unique and definitely with a lot of twists.

Hats off to the director, writers and Sharbhi for being extra amazing portraying VaNi. Wishing Sharad a speedy recovery so he comes back with a bang because without Veer episodes will lack energy! ❤️

I think even if Teer was an innocent man he did attack Bani first. He called her a normal girl and show her his Cheel form. So I feel she had every right to attack him back even if she killed him I don't think she's guilty. You are allowed to self defend yourself if she didn't attack back Teer would have killed her. Teer was mentally unstable, Bani mistake him as Veer instead. And Bani already is aware of the fact she didn't kill Teer and someone else did that's why she went to cheel mandir or whatever you call it? To get clues and find out who kill Teer. She does have concern for Teer she just isn't showing it around Veer if she didn't she would never try to find Teer killer. Veer is someone she's just provoking right now and love getting under his skin otherwise she does feel guilty about what happened to Teer.

Jay is just stupid and that's what making Bani concern for him ridiculous as well, Bani can't connect the dots to know why the cheels were able to smell Jai around? And the fact he probably did a bad deed?

“This man loves Bani, but he isn't blind. He knows she is different, just like he and his family are, but he is still trying to figure her out”.

You spoke my mind here. He is head over heels in love with her, but he isn’t stupid or blind. He knows where to draw a line.

And I am sure, we will see a very different side of Bani once she comes to know everything about Jay and his selfishness lalach! VaNi ki equation will take new dynamics.. I am actually very excited to see how writers will take the story from now onwards. We know the base has been set, now mysteries and suspense to be unfold. How VaNi will perceive the reality and get aware of the true relationship they meant to share will be so worth watching!

I can’t possibly forget to mention that “really?” From Veer. That husky voice and the slight bending of his head towards Bani Jitni baar bhi Dekhon woh scene utna kum hai!!

So talking about the Saturday episode, true the VFX was really bad and opposite but the hilarious part was when they showed mix up face of mayuri and jay..i was like subhanallah jay kya lag raha hai...😆

Again bani didn't use her brain, one side she says she doesn't want to harm or kill any innocent and on the other side she didn't think what Jay is doing in cheel's house,why he came here...then after knowing that ponky fell off she didn't ask jay about the same😕

Now coming to Vani they're are as usual pure magic, the line veer saud to bani "tum mere saamne phisalti ho kyuki tumhe pata hai main tumhe sambhal lunga" ❤️ he'll be with her whatever the situation is..and ofcourse that dance

Then ponky try to do the same with mayuri urf jay😆..for a minute i thought ponky is going to kiss jay aka mayuri...😆

Sometimes i feel bani ka asar veer par bhi ho raha ha..i mean been bajate hue uske saamne uske face ko dekhna chahiye tha..usse bani ko hold karna chahiye tha but nahi... anyways it's good abhi pata nahi chala uska secret...But again veer ne CCTV on kia toh kiske liye...pehle khud toh check kar leta who's the serpent..but nahi shukla ko chodh gaya...🤔

And us Markat shaitaan ko aakhir cheelo se kya chahiye..why did he help bani..shukla ke saath toh they showed that he has some evil reason then why?🤓

Mayuri and jay ka face-off, i thought mayuri is more strong and powerful than jay as his power is reduced because he killed that Brahmin..but still mayuri gave up and called him boss🤔

I didn't like how veer was saying to bani not to call jay but still she was behaving rudely...dekhayi nahi deta kitna pyaar karta hai veer usse .yeh jaane je baad bhi ki she killed teer for no reason,us bechare ne kuch bhi bura behave nahi kia bani ke saath..dimaag toh kum chalta hai bani ka i agree but dil se toh theek se kaam lele😒

But am so awestruck with the direction especially Sunday episode..

I loved they are maintaining Veer as Veer... he is very well written character.. he is drafted well..

Bani is full on into cheel family... as earlier said she is full time in black.. as she started using her long lost brain... ( I was thinking how soha 'll call her Khali khopdi 🐍) but still she needs to give more work for her new found brain...

Yaar...every enemy has their own agenda... cheel god 😔

Shukla badly doesn't want Veer want to find out Bani being 🐍 so if he saw her as 🐍 will he remember every thing or something like that ??

My god... Veer is uff...he deals everything wonderfully.. I loved it when he exposed Jay in front of his family so he can involve them to protect Bani... how sharp he is...

Such an intimate conversation VaNi had... Veer being jelaous/possessive /insecured becoz of Jay being alive... he 'll make sure Bani never leave him...as well as protecting (his aam ladki)from 🐍

His one liners are bang on.. i loved it how Bani and their matter is so personal for him... not like other typical serial where leads fight and discuss their matters with open door...👍🏼

SharBhi am amazed by their performance... Sharad yaar..❤️ his biggest plus is his dialogue delivery. .1st time am ok with Mohit👍🏼

Jay is way too short tempered...he will do some big blunder which 'll expose himself to Bani..

Am excited to see VaNi equation.. don't want any rush in their love track..

Cvs I kindly request u to cut down her Jay jaap.. I mute it when she talks...her attitude is getting on my nerves...

VAni scene

I noticed that serpent's skin was used on the peahen on 3th October (Saturday). It happened at 25:51 and I was so disappointed. How couldn't the makers notice it before the episode's telecast? Aur ye Markat cheeze kya hain samaj mein nahi ata! Shaitan hain ya bhagwan! Agar bhagwan hain to phir Shukla usse Markat Shaitan kyun bolta hain? Koi apne bhagwan ko shaitan thodi i na bolta hain! I like the fact the this season's hero is as powerful as the heroine. I definitely liked Mahir's character because he was an ideal husband. But he suffered a lot! He couldn't protect himself as he was a human. He became mentally unstable once. But Veer has the ability to protect himself against dangerous enemies. Btw, there is thread called 'Let's play Naagin'. You can a choose a character and roleplay there. 😊

Oh yeah... I loved Veer's new name for Bani "Insaaf ki devi "😉

I agree. This season is outstanding in terms of the story, leads, characterization. It has quality. I stand impressed by EK, for once.

Veer is a very astute man, which makes him so capable of leading the Cheels in the right direction. He has all the qualities of a good leader, and that is why he commands a strong presence in that family. Coming to Bani, Veer's faith shattered in her the moment Teer died, so he thinks that Bani is capable of doing anything, and like her husband, she could care less to explain herself. What was funny was, Bani is investigating Cheel matters and Veer is investigating Naga matters, which is an interesting switch. Ek sach Veer ne bahar nikala, ab ek sach Bani bahar nikalegi and yahi hota rahega back and forth.

I am not sure sometimes. What the hell does Shukla mean? Kabhi kehta hai Mandir ke wall chune se yaad aayega, kabhi kehta hai Bani ko naagin roop me dekh lega to sab bigad jayega. Ye aadmi ek baar me decide kyun nahi karta yaar ki kya kya na karne se Veer ko yaad nahi aayega.

Nazar to woh Bani pe rakhega, because he does not trust her. He trusts the fact that she doesn't attack from behind. But to win his trust again, Bani has to do some massive expose, for example, Mayuri. Then maybe Veer ke andar ka jo bharosa tuta hai, woh thoda sa jud jayega. And jab Shukla ka time aayega, tab tak I think a lot of the animosity between both may have reduced.

You know, to me it gave vibes, that this Cheel family is so protective of Bani. They will keep her under lock and key, but not let Jai wriggle anywhere near her. It was like an 'awwwww' moment for me.
