What a travesty

What a travesty that turned out to be! An opportunity to cleanse Ba’s character lost! Vanraj, oh that man deserves a slap, such a hypocrite. Toshi, needs a kick up his shin.

Rakhiben’s parting shot to Vanraj about swapping Kavya into Anupama’s place the day Kinjal’s parents arrived for rishta, was a good one, indeed. Nalini Iyer is contemplating on what that could mean and have a feeling she will decipher soon her Maasi’s not so innocent relationship with the great Vanraj.

Ba joining in on berating Anupama was a low blow, that could have been avoided. Felt nothing but revulsion for the woman today. She took a vow from Anupama’s mom that her daughter would not pursue further education so that Ba and her son could literally have an unpaid naukrani at home (Rakhiben was not far off from the truth) and then now the gall of the woman and her son to blame Anupama for her lack of degree status😠. 

Paritosh in the throes of love and his anguish at potentially losing Kinjal would have been more relatable had he not blamed his mom for something his girlfriend (lying) and her mother (creating a nasty scene) did. It is vile how a son could talk and treat his mother so. Wish Anupama had raised her hand on her ladla firstborn. 

Coming to Mr.Vanraj, what a debacle of a man he is. Disgusting. He stood up for Anupama and redeemed himself fractionally (tiniest of fractions) but then unleashed his anger and domineering attitude on his wife the minute the guests left. He was no longer the controlled, successful, family man on display, he became the two-timing, out of love, hypocritical, chauvinistic husband in a flash. Even his saying Anupama need not have called Rakhiben  Sambhandhan or Kinjal bahu was okay in his upset state but blaming the night’s fiasco on Anupama and telling her he was losing patience with her as a woman was uncalled for. And Ba’s happy acquiescence with her son’s outrageous remarks left a ton to be desired. 

Precap seems promising that Vanraj is sticking to his guns in not letting Toshi go a begging to Kinjal’s family. Anupama’s marching off to Kinjal’s hopefully brings something good as Kinjal’s dad seems not lacking in common sense and that well touted characteristic, sanskar. 

Did Leela's saas not promise furthur education for Anu? Then when did Leela convince Anu's mom?

I thought one of the epis mentioned in passing that Anu’s education had to be stopped because she got a good Rishta and that the groom’s family did not want her to pursue further studies. Anu herself doesn’t say that, she says that she got married early and had Paritosh right away and got immersed in being a mother, wife and housewife. 

Was it mentioned in any other epi that Ba promised to let her Dil study but reneged on that promise?  I don’t recall that. Because Anu was not Ba’s choice as is repeatedly said on the show, Anu was chosen by Vanraj’s grandmother, Ba’s saas, so Ba would not have promised any such thing, I feel.
