Chapter 4: Forgiven
Prisha fidgeted with the edge of her dupatta as she sat in the court room.
Yuvraj was sincerely presented the case while Kaveri was crying crocodile tears. She was stumped to see how convincingly Yuvraj lied. If she hadn't known that Yuvraj had helped Surya while Rudraaksh was after him, she would have blindly believed that Kaveri and Surya were cheating him as well.
A voice in her head questioned if this was the true Yuvraj. But she knew this man since they were kids and there's no way one could pretend so long, right? Maybe it was just this one time that his greed for becoming the youngest judge forced him to take up this controversial case.
"Your Honour, ab mein Ms. Kaveri ki gynaecologist Dr. Prisha Sreenivasan ko witness box mein bulaana chaahunga." Yuvraj finished.
The judge approved and Prisha took the oath.
"Toh kahiye Dr. Prisha, Ms. Kaveri ki condition kaisi hai."
Prisha explained all that happened in her clinic and about Rudraaksh's drama and all the facts.
Rudraaksh looked at her like he was betrayed. For a moment he thought she had swapped sides.
"Par mujhe kuch pata chala." She said and all ears perked up. And Rudraaksh looked hopeful.
"Maine session ke pehle kuch Test Results submit ki thi." She said and Yuvraj was confused.
'Test? Kaun sa test? Shaayad Rudraaksh ke harassment ke wajah se Kaveri ko hui distress ki saboot hogi. Kya baath hai Prisha, tune toh meri kaam aur bhi aazaan kar thi.' Yuvraj assumed and chuckled to himself.
The judge studied the two results and said,
"Toh yeh DNA tests hai."
Yuvraj turned to the judge shocked and Kaveri went pale.
"Jismein ek unknown person ka aur Rudraaksh Khuranna ke DNA Ms. Kaveri ki bachche se compare ki gayi hai." He explained.
Yuvraj looked at Prisha with a betrayed look while Prisha pursed her lips and faced the judge.
"Yes your honour, aur isse saaf pata chaltha hai ki yeh bachcha Mr. Rudraaksh Khuranna ka nahi, uss unknown insaan ka hai." She stated.
"Kaisa insaan? Your honour-" Yuvraj started but was cut off by Rudraaksh.
"I will tell you yaha kis insaan ki baath ho rahi hai."
The judge approved and Prisha got back to her seat, and on her way Rudraaksh gave her a thumbs up before going to the witness box.
Kaveri looked at Prisha guiltily and scared but she decided to just ignore the lying witch.
Rudraaksh explained the whole thing and brought Surya out. He thought Yuvraj's truth will also be out but Kaveri swore that she had cheated him as well. Only Prisha and Rudraaksh knew the truth.

"Tum mere saath aisa kaise kar sakthi hai, Prisha?" Yuvraj yelled at her after the session. "Main tera mangetar hoon na? Pyaar hoon na? Phir kyun kiya tumne aisa?"
Prisha let out a sigh. "Pyar ho ya mangetar ho ya pati, galat galat hi hota hai, Yuvraj. Tumne galat kiya hi kyun?"
"Humaare liye, Prisha! Tumhare liye!"
"Mere liye?"
"Haan, taaki main tumhein woh sab kuch de sakoon jo tum deserve karthi ho!"
"Yeh baath sahi bola tumne." The duo turned to see Rudraaksh. "Yeh bahuth kuch deserve karthe hai aur tumse better deserve karthe hai."
Rudraaksh stood between the two, facing Yuvraj.
"Apne gandhi harkatom ko pyaar ka naam math dena."
"Tumse kise ne poocha?" Yuvraj pointed his finger at Rudraaksh and turned to Prisha. "Prisha, I am sorry baba par main aida kabhi nahi karega, I promise. Mujhe maaf kardho. Tumhein pata hai na main humesha tere saath hoon."
"What rubbish?-" Rudraaksh turned to Prisha but was surprised to see her nodding. "Don't tell me you are buying this!"
"Rudraaksh, jo hua, uss keliye main tumse maafi maangti hoon. Par mere aur Yuvraj ke beech ke baath hai toh tum interfere math karo." She said.
Yuvraj was wrong here. But she couldn't say Yuvraj was wrong for her. After all that he has done for her. He was there for her, always.
Yuvraj and Prisha left the place and Rudraaksh was beyond confused and kind of angry. He had thought Prisha was smart but yeh toh gadhi nikli.
Rajeev found him standing at the same spot ten minutes later and the brothers went home, where Ahana Bhabs was preparing more drama for them.
