Oh my god!! Yesterday I was making a Rudhita playlist based on Tagore's songs because hindi movie songs just doesn't have the same effect as good old Rabindra sangeet on this show.

P.S.- funny that you brought up Kadambari, don't you think the current track has too many similarities with the Tagore family history.

What about the song main hoon saath tere from shaadi main zaroor Ana. It does sound a little romantic but it kind of goes with their situation as Anirudh is always going to be by Bondita’s side

Of course. Let's see both Kadambari and Bondita were married into one of the leading families of Calcutta at a very young age, (9 and 8 respectively). Kadambari was educated by her husband and Bondita will be as we know. Both had a bother in law around their own age and formed a friendship with them.

And this is where I want the similarities to end. Let's all hope our BB doesn't go down that path.🥺

Ooh! I hadn't thought about it that way! That does make sense, although it's not a very happy story. This one also bear much resemblance to the Marathi movie Anandi Gopal, which is a story about Dr. Anandi Gopal who also has a similar childhood as Bondita and her hubby sent her to England against the whole family's wishes. You should totally check it out hun!

And sure please tell me which songs! <3

No it's not a happy story, no wonder most of Tagore's novels has a bittersweet ending.

My Marathi is horrible but just watched the promo and read the wiki of Anandi Gopal Joshi, and its really amazing. I'd like to watch the movie, do you know where I can find the dubbed version?

Gladly!!! I've added some Rabindra sangeet and some folk songs that were available during the early 1900's.

For present track- 1. Ore Ghrihobashi (for Holi) 2. Tomar Ghore Bosot koreb (Anirudh's POV) 3. Jokhon porbe na mor payer chinho (an overdramatic teenage Bondita singing this song when Anirudh decides to send her away for higher studies) 4. Kotobaro bhebechinu (Bondita's confession when she is older, also this is my favorite song) 5. WIP
