Actually its symbolic of the pain that MJs episode has given her.. she stuck on 10 years which turned her dark inside out.. just like that wound turned blue.. only Rudra could get rid of it from her her life and break it for good.. they say that the ring finger connects the heart.. that connection ends there.. just like Mayas fear ended when Rudra got hurt..
