An affair is an affair when it's happens it's both parties fault not ones . Both should be equally responsible for it . Not all are mature as you at 19-21 years 

May be he forced her or threaten to kick her out of job 

May be she was only earning member of family

May be family depended on her salary to survive

So she had to bend to his demands

Act strict and serious no man will dare come after a girl than 

Be no nonsense whether on streets or school, college or office 

That will make men fear to harass a girl

I mean Mayas child is brother or sister to Rudra 

How can he marry such a woman? even for revenge its just not done either in religion or society or law 

Some ppl are fine with rudra marrying his fathers girl friend - they do not understand its so complex matter
