Devo has always been like this, I felt the same about her. Devo changes her stance according to the situations. I remember, she scolded Koena suddenly when Salman went against Koena and always has been diplomatic, she even called Rashmi meethi chhuri when she was her friend. She always wanted to be in good books of Sid and Rashmi both.
