Post 5 year leap and Post Kaira face off...Vedika was termed chai vali or caricature as she had no role to play...she was there to stand and serve tea...parallel lead had less than 2 minute screenspace that time...her role became significant only from last week...even before that she was shown blackmailing Naira and trying to commit suicide in an episode (not for entire week) where Naira the super woman saved her and sacrificed for her...after that she disappeared...before suicide drama she wasn't a threat to Kaira's relationship...even after suicide drama and custody battle she disappeared and didn't appear to be someone oh so significant for storyline...Naira started living in GV for Kairav...But the point is trp was 4+ when Devika had insignificant screenspace or had no motive, identity or personality beside being Kartik's namesake wife...she was a nobody...for a week that was most successful in terms of trp from past 3 years...her face wasn't shown...the most successful weeks with 4+ had Kartik and Naira's struggle as parents...BM slapping Naira...Kartik and Naira getting injection for their son...Kartik and Naira living under same roof in GV for Kairav...Devika being completely ignored by Kartik (remember the time she went to his room and he went out) there was the time when viewers were made to sympathize with Kartik, Naira or Kaira the helpless parents...the most loved characters...
I still remember Samir Onkar use to be called RS adopted son the way Pankhu is called his adopted daughter...During Ravan Chachu track that had given Ravan chachu Major screenspace.. Kartik and Naira were super heroes...Ravan chachu's past story and his motive behind staying with Goenkas was revealed gradually...his story was given importance....and had a definitive closure...few people thought he might be the permanent villian...but he wasn't...that track also had 3+ for 2-3 consecutive weeks...I myself thought he might continue to get major screenspace like KD, Suwarna and Manish...but he was forgetten...like a forgetten story...
Now as writers want to wind up Kaira story ASAP...to continue with the leap...the story even after being about them...their undimished love...their emotions...their relationship...their guilt...their flaws....is still seem to be revolving around the one who is shown to be sacrificing for them...Vedika's screenspace increased from past week...that means she became the parallel lead?....how can parallel lead be shown signing a deal to free ML from loveless marriage?....either she is an antagonist or negative character or can be shown a psychopath with ulterior motive from the time she entered GV...antagonists or negative character have ending unlike parallel leads...parallel leads are constant part of a show...they or their body double is needed for almost every episode...the show ran most successfully without delusional character with no personality or emotional breakdown scene or any thought process...there was least SS or importance being given to character by the CVs...except KD and Singhanias nobody actually cared for her post Kaira face off....Suwarna mata has always be shown partial towards Naira...Akhilesh Goenka was dealing with his own problems...Surekha too....but now as Pankhu returned and CVs were pissed off with Kaira fans plus they know they can't keep their own creation Kaira separated for more time...so why not try to lessen Kaira's impact by giving equal importance to other character...who was supposed to be a cameo...Why not add twists and intrigue to keep story moving forward for 3 months keeping viewers glued...giving good TRP till the end....I liked their idea of turning Vedika negative...but main problem is actress lack of conviction in portrayal....she is not natural...seem to be repeating the rehearsed lines with incoherent expressions....she mostly seems to be shouting or mumbling....except in recent episode where she was shown to be leaving GV none of her scenes appear impactful...they could have had a better actress for playing negative character...also dialogue and screenplay writer is writing pathetically...they are seemingly confusing actors too...Naksh-Keerti were also considered parallel leads but their characters disappeared...don't take the word parallel lead too seriously as in Kaira's yrkkh there has been no parallel lead...if antagonist means parallel lead than Raghav, Kabir, Ravan Chachu they were all parallel leads of their time...they got good SS too...during their respective tracks...even if Vedika is going to stay married to Kartik to cause trouble in Kaira's life than also she can't be termed parallel lead...as for reference Komolika, Apurna,Sampata were married to ML for longer time but were not parallel leads...as they were antagonists or turned antagonists....regarding Kaira being shown not sacrifical for a change...I'm happy that they are doing what's right...by not sacrificing for Vedika's temporary happiness...they didn't deny that they love each other...they didn't deny they have been at fault....they apologized...
