I Avent completed it n skipping most part... Bolly folks are soo embarassing..

Trust her to make everything and anything about herself...

Parvarthy, the hero, did all the talkings and DP Mata, the quintessence of femininity and equality did her part by clutching the coffee mug in anger and keeping a poker face while the other speaker dished out one nonsense after another...

Hail her once again!!!

P.S : WRT to the title of the thread (news rather), hello!!! Parvathy had her own voice and was quite lucid and organized in her thoughts. She did not need anyone's backing to voice out her opinions, least of all not DP's for sure!!!

Setting petty rivalries aside (those that pick on pathethic tiny issues versus the main discussion*), everyone should have just thought about: how many MAIN roles women had (historically), versus male?

Weren't females used mainly as sex objects, dancers, mother role types?

How could they be in so many VARIED roles when the ROLES ITSELF weren't more than : support, mother, lover, friend, dancer?

How can you say men had more roles than women, when wom,en weren't generally, even given a variety of roles besides those mentioned above?

*not saying showing some PDA towards WIFE or interrupting- in a professional setting- is okay, just that the SUBJECT of the discussion was more interesting, to me, than those tiny annoying things.

Just realized where I had seen Parvathy. Qarib Qarib Single starring her and Irrfan. It was quite entertaining. I think it is on Netflix or Prime.

*Useless Info Over *

What sets Parvathy apart from all the Bollywood actresses is the fact that whatever she spoke, she did because she believed in it without trying to milk it for her own PR or promotions. It's been two days since the interview is out and naturally the whole of twitter is in love with her but she hasn't retweeted a single praise calling her the hero we deserve or anything on those lines. Her last retweet was of the film companion interview link. Being a regional actress and getting this sort of fame on a national flatform across YT and twitter, she could've easily milked it for her own good PR which she didn't. Infact she actually apologized to someone for using the word 'bipolar' casually and expressed in detail what she wanted to say and how she shouldn't have used the word so casually.

I swear to god if this was ANY other Bollywood actor/actress, apologizing toh bhool jao, there would be 100 retweets of people calling them a hero, etc throughout their timeline.

How on Earth is this a win for feminism?! She could’ve said more, much more but just kept shut clutching her coffee mug. What rubbish.
