Roundtables are meant for debates, its a chance for people to share their opinions and we can agree or disagree with them

and ranveer just kissing his wife on the shoulder is being called unprofessional, he kissed her as way of saying sorry coz he was teasing her and she slapped him on the leg, and they were not being interviewed by the BBC or some news channel lol, it was a relaxed atmosphere with anupama interviewing them, she was the one saying 'pda pda' even when they were not doing pda

I feel we should give one or two lessons about PR here. What is even Idiva? People have been praising DP on twitter for backing up the other actress and shutting her rude ass husband down. To give you an idea how PR works, they mainly target big websites aka MM, Filmfare and mostly PinkVilla not floppy like idiva. What’s even that? Nobody even visit those so why waste money on it? It’s like posting a PR article on a random blog. There’s no point, it won’t reach anyone.

So unless article is not published on a well-known site, it can't be called PR work. That's one absurd notion.

Even pinkvilla and MM have some standards to maintain😆. And how does that even matter, it did reach us, no?

The point being highlighted is DP's attention seeking habit and that the article is written in a completely childish manner. It subtly brushes-off the other actress' participation and real gutsy words with lines like:

the best reaction to Vijay’s statements came from Deepika,

And infusing exxageration to its max level. This one is hilarious ⬇️

Deepika held her ground and FINALLY reminded us why we, as a nation, are so obsessed with her. We’d say this was a win for feminism.

And this comes after people on twitter applauded parvathy more

Deepika’s initial poker face and refusal to meet Vijay’s eyes said it all in the beginning, but at one point, the ludicrousness of his words made her smirk, after which DP went straight back to stonily staring at the floor, clutching her coffee mug with a rage most women can relate to. Unable to contain it after a point, the queen spoke: “In our country, cinema has the power to influence. It may not be the only reason for influence … but whether we like it or not, cinema and cricket are the two most influential things.”

^^

🤣🤣

Who wrote this ? Deepika herself ? Since parvathy is getting all the attention she wrote herself highly and clubbing her name with parvathy..otherwise what she said was phuss..no strong points whatsoever..

The notion that it is only the female stars who needs to reinvent themselves or do experimental small roles once there stardom is over a false misconception. Yes, men have a longer shelf life so they do get away doing the mainstream roles and movies longer than their female contemporaries but  the minute the audience reject them as a mainstream hero even male actors  need to take up risky, offbeat non-mainstream, character roles or side roles to stay relevant. The actors who could not re-invent or adapt with time stay at home or are not considered relevant has-beens.

The biggest example is Amitabh Bachchan. He is doing all types of risky out there roles that he would have never dared to do during his prime as the mega superstar. In Nishabd an older man who develops feelings for his teenage daughter's friend,  in Pa he played a young boy who is suffering from progeria, have not seen Boom but the part or movie was something he would have never done in his prime, Cheeni Kam, Black, 102 Not out, Pink  not your mainstream roles. Even Rishi has said that in his prime he had a set image of romantic hero  he would have never gotten roles that does not fit that image but now he is doing array of different roles and characters. Mulk, 102 Not Out, Kapoor and sons, negative roles Agneepath, D-Day.

wheather it is a male or female star, once your stardom has faded one need to do take risks, re-invent, do more charcter sidey roles just to stay relevant.. For actresses their time comes much sooner than their male contemporaries, which is totally unfair but is a whole different issue altogether. When the time comes actors who are smart  do reinvent and transition it is just that the timing is not the same for actor and actresses of same age.It is a whole other issue that women above a certain age (the age threshold in bollywood is 40 it seems) rarely get good meaty roles or offers and has a shorter shelf life than their male contemporaries and this a good discussion point for the roundtable but Anupama did not bring it up as this issue is a male vs female thing exposes the sexist mindset more than the male vs female risk taking
