Ch3.
Rishabh gets ready to go to the hospital. He walks past the dressing table where he notices a photo frame of Prerna and Kukki hugging each other with a pretty smile etched on their smile. He picks it up and carresses it with his thumb. A lone tear falls on it.
"Aapki yeh hasi main wapas laakar rahunga aur khudse dur nahi jaane dunga." He promised to himself and went away,keeping the photo frame safely.
He reached the hospital where he was welcomed by Veena,Shivani,Anupam and Nivedita. Rishabh enquired about Kukki to which Nivedita said she is inside.
Rishabh peeped through the glass of the ICU door where he saw Kukki holding Prerna's hand and lying down like a little baby. She tried to speak but failed. Tears fell from that angel's eyes.
Rishabh couldnt see his daughter and wife in this state. He slumped down and started crying. What would he do without them? If Kukki was his heart,Prerna has become his heartbeat. He fell in love with Prerna.
Everyone present there felt sad seeing Rishabh in that state. All prayed to Maa Durga for some miracle to happen.
ICU:
With lot of effort, Kukki spoke,
"Mmm...aaaa"...
Immediately,the vital signs of Prerna started to beep loudly. Mehra was shocked to see this incident. They waited their whole life to watch their Kukki talk. He let those tears flow and thanked Maa Durga for this miracle.
"Rishabh... Prerna uth rahi hai... Aur..." Mehra told in excitement.
Everyone went near Mehra and threw a bag of questions at him.
"Aur kya Mehra? Saf saf batao?"
"Humari Kukki ne apna pehla word bola.. Maa..." Mehra replied with happy tears.
Veena,Anupam and Nivedita thanked Maa Durga and congratulated Rishabh for the victory.
It was a war for him. To save his wife from the clutches of death. And he won the war.
Rishabh ran inside the ICU to check on his wife and daughter. By then,her vital signs became normal and was sleeping due to medicine effect.
"Meri biwi kaisi hai Doctor?" Rishabh asked with worried tone.
"Mrs. Bajaj is perfectly fine now. Vitals bhi normal hogaye hai. It was a miracle for everyone. Jaise Maa Durga ne aap sabki aur khaas kar aapki beti ki pukar sunli.. Do ek din mein discharge kardenge... Congratulations once again and take care."
Rishabh immediately went near Prerna and held her hand. He placed a sloppy kiss on her palm and wished her to get well soon..
Veena also went towards her Priyu and asked for forgiveness as she held her hand.
Anupam and Nivedita hugged Kukki and congratulated her. Kukki clapped with a smile and enjoyed the moment.
After some hours:
Prerna wakes up with a headache. The nurse notes her vitals.
In a slow voice,Prerna asked for her daughter. The nurse nodded and went out to bring Kukki.
Except Rishabh and Veena,Anupam took Nivedita and Kukki inside. Kukki hugged her Prerna mumma tightly. Prerna cried tears of joy feeling her daughter in her arms.
"Nivi di,aap?" Prerna asked.
"I am sorry Prerna for whatever you had to suffer because of our family. Maa ne tumhara accident karwaya thha... Woh abhi jail mein hai.. Main khush hu ki unko unke gunaho ki saza mil rahi hai.." Nivi replied with a remorse.
"Aap please aise maafi mat mangiye.. Aap meri bari behen ho. Accha nahi lagta aise.. Aur Anupam ji,aap kaise ho?? And congratulations.. Aap Papa banne wale ho..." Prerna replied with a smile.
"Thank you,Prerna. Tum jaldi se thik hojao... baad mein tumhe apni behen ke nakhre bhi uthane honge... Main toh bas chill karunga.." Anupam replied in return getting smacked from Nivedita.
Prerna smiled looking at them and started crying. Rishabh and Veena looked at her condition. It was because of them.. And they promised to keep her happy and remove her pain.
''Mat ro Prerna.. Abhi aaram karo.. Main Mr. Bajaj aur Veena aunty ko bhejta hu.." Anupam replied.
With the mention of Mr. Bajaj,she remembered their encounter of words and rude behaviour from him.
"Nahi... Koi unhe nahi bulayega yaha.. Please.." Prerna replied suddenly.
"Kyun?? Kuch hua hai tumdono ke beech?" Nivi asked sensing something wrong.
"Woh.. Nahi.. mera matlab... Mujhe abhi rest karna hai aur woh dono bhi toh tired honge,right?" Prerna lied for Kukki although she could feel that Nivedita has caught her lie.
"Thik hai.. Abhi rest karo.. Hum baad mein aayenge." Anuoam said and left the room with Nivi and Kukki.
Prerna couldn't control her tears as they slipped from her eyes. She couldn't bear the pain of Rishabh's rude behaviour and it hurt her really bad. She was ready not to forgive Rishabh and Veena so easily.
