'Sugar shouldn't be ignored'! Is Alia lying about her diet?

During the promotions of Kalank Alia has been on a few shows where was food or beverages were offered to her but she flat out refused to eat or drink anything. On Kapil's show she asked for black tea but almost had a heart attack when she found out it has sugar. She also made a statement that sugar isn't good for the body, a complete contrast to what she said on her chat with Rujuta. Is she misleading young impressionable girls into believing she actually follows Rujuta and her diet. Seems like quick money making scam to me. Get a celebrity on board and fool the public. The article is from 2 years ago when she got on board with Rujuta as her dietician.

What better than a successful young diva to set health standards for the impressionable and health conscious chunk of the society? Which is why when Alia Bhatt speaks out about her diet regime, we listen. The 24-year-old can easily be touted as a healthy person with utmost dedication towards her diet and workout regime, and in a recent Facebook live video with dietician Rujuta Diwekar, Bhatt shed some light on her diet as well.

Bhatt started off by declaring the most important almost slogan-worthy fact: "No boy is worth starving for! A notion that also makes for the very first principle of her dieting (and life) rulebook.

Shattering one popular notion after the other, the Highway actress added that, "Everyone's talking about gluten-free pizza, brown bread and red rice, about reducing their carb intake, and I'm eating white bread and butter at 4am. Rujuta showed me how local food eaten in moderation can be healthy. We'' toast to that! Literally.

Speaking on the importance of a balanced diet (and busting yet another myth), Alia said that sugars shouldn't be ignored as it "helps cool down the body temperature after working out, adding that she also "never skips her rejuvenating glass of sugarcane juice post-workout. Much like Rujuta Diwekar's other celebrity client, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

However, things went from real to relatable when Bhatt revealed that she likes her favourite foods dal khichdi and curd rice topped with a spoonful of ghee! We're totally on board with that!

Seriously now???
She did the video with Rujuta in 2017?? Two years ago, so now she's not allowed to change her diet? 😕

I know Alia is Satan incarnated on this forum, but bringing up old statements of what she eats or doesnt eat to criticise her just seems so petty...

While Alia is definitely lying about her diet...what Rujuta says is entirely different concept... To understand it you have to study it in relation to each other... Her tips actually make you self-reliant...
The only thing that angers me is why Rujuta takes these celebs on board, they lie all the time, promote things which she is against... Instead she should call common people with good results to talk at such events...

I do have a problem with Alia making irresponsible statements like this when obesity is on the rise globally. If she in her heart doesn't believe the benefits of consuming sugar why is she sitting in an hour long chat with Rujuta dictating the benefits and that she mixes sugar in her Saffron infused water. She wasn't following advice from her next door neighbour but a qualified dietician. It's the public who are going to throw their cash at Rujuta who charges a hefty amount.

Yes Bolly glitz i get what ur trying to say.
Because this is a basic concept and this wont change even if somebody is on a diet. 2 years or 20 yrs.

So this is completely contrasting with 2 contradictory statements on a very basic thing.

Its like saying sun is hot to saying sun is not. 😆

I understand that but again i'll say the video with Rujuta was from two years ago? She was following her advice at that time and thats what she might have believed then, it doesnt mean she does now. Advice regarding health and diet does change. It all depends on our own individual bodies as well, at one time one food may suit our bodies and as we age things change. And the i think any fans who are following her will have that much common sense to understand that.

If she was propagating a diet one day and then the very next day propagating a different diet then yes that deserves criticism cause that would be irresponsible but that's not what's happening here.
