Just wondering about the tract on Chihu. How relevent is it in today's society is the question
The plight of brahmin widows was bad in the 1800s and even early 1900s. But that was a hundred years ago from now

So why are they showing it now in Sai's story.  In what way is Kulkarni responsible for Chihu's  plight

He is a  villain in the show. But the fact remains that Chihu's  plight was the plight of most brahmin widows at that ime. it was a social issue not a personal issue.

Kulkarni may not have been able to go against society in those days. So does that make him a culprit in that regard

Chihu was supposed to be a brahmin but when she was not a widow  she never followed any rules that brahmins had followed in those days.

She snatched eatables ( with onions in theme) from another caste woman and ate it. It is something brahmin women never did in those days. They never ate food from outside strictly

That way in TV shows they show brahmin widows like some show piece with the shaven head but even they showed in one show that the lady ate outside hotel food

These widows never ate anything from outside more so cooked by somebody else. Along with the drab attire they had strict rules to follow regarding living and food.

Many women observed these rules because they thought that was the way. Even if they did not like it they were dignified enough to follow the rules.

Now showing it differently is making mockery of their plight and  depicting something differently from the way it was in those days.

Regarding Vrinda what she is doing is in bad taste. Showing off her jewelry to Chihu who is a widow.

She is celebrating friendship but there is no excuse for dragging Chihu out of her house when she was not comfortable about it.

Showing off her jewelry and sarees etc etc.

This tract is not in very good taste it is better the makers tread carefully regarding this.

Kulkarni used to spoil Chihu and treat his wife like their slave
So what happened all of a sudden?
It's like they are trying to force this story line
