Generally she uses the Tiger, that's why she is called Sherawali and my sister told me, the Lion was gifted to Durga Maa by her father to kill Mahisasur. So now both the tiger and the lion are associated to her. 

That 8 hands was only for the promo. Pretty sure we will get 10 hands in the episode. When Pia killed Bhaisasur, she had 10 hands.

tiger is called sher or bagh
