Smita Singh & Lata Shukla to enter Karn Sangini

The cast of Star Plus' mythological drama Karn Sangini will soon welcome a new actor in their show.

TellyChakkar recently reported about versatile actor Tej Sapru being roped in to play the character of Pandit Raj Purohit. In addition, actress Urvashi Upadhya is all set to enter the show as Karn's bua (read here: Dil Se Dil Tak fame Urvashi Upadhya to enter Star Plus' Karn Sangini).

Now, we have learned that talented actress Smita Singh, who is still remembered for her stint in Bhagyavidhata has joined the team of Karn Sangini.

According to our sources, she will also play Karn's (Aashim Gulati) bua. Her entry will bring some interesting twists in the show. Smita confirmed the news.

Versatile senior actor Lata Shukla will enter Star Plus' mythological show, Karn Sangini produced by Shashi Sumeet Mittal.

Lata Shukla is a known face in Bollywood circuit with movies Million Dollar Arm, Manjha. She has been part of the TV show, Best of Luck Nikki.

As per sources, "Lata Shukla will be a new entrant and will play the role of Karn's (Aashim Gulati) bua. The lady will have an inability to hear, thus creating comic situations.

As reported in media, three buas of Karn will be entering. The other two characters will be played by Urvashi Upadhyay and Smita Singh.

When contacted, Lata confirmed the news to us.

Frigging how many bias? I think this show is gonna become Mahabharat parody. This is so weird.

This show was never able to connect  with mahabharat  audience, there is no any other option left for makers now rather than turning  the show into typical saas bahu family drama. Sp is difficult channel to work with when the show don't work to get ratings but it's sad.
