Bepannah My thoughts~ ep 178  20.11.18   Between the devil and the deep blue sea!

We find Zoya caught up in a dilemmas, predicaments, traps posing two equally dangerous alternatives. She is  meant to choose between two  issues which are equally as  bad  as each other. I see this episode as Zoya's virtue both morally and physically being tempted and enticed by evil principalities. Before evil forces, she is visible as  the sole virtuous one, fighting for Aditya Hooda. She fights rather staunchly, intrepid  in the wake of  briskly creeping and mounting up  evil forces.

Zoya has to be struck down from her bold  position ,to  further weaken a fallen Aditya. One of the most poignant images caught on camera is Zoya touching Adi's shoulder to ensure him that she is his strong pillar that holds him from crashing to ruination.

From start to finish, the episode shows Zoya go through the unacceptable and non-negotiable. She finally  grasps the truth that the likes of Rajveer has  one aim. To ultimately  break  the established relationship between her and Adi .

For Zoya too discovers that her unconditional goodness does falters at times. Rajveer for whom she held compassion,  due to the manner in which destiny treated him, turns around and offers her an indecent proposal  beyond her imagination.

The scene is a learning curve , she has to learn that the devil, Rakhsas that she labels  Rajveer, dons many faces and plays with human weaknesses and frailties, because this evil spirit is to defy the gods and torture  gods creation.

The cremation scene is humbling, for humans. All who taste birth go through death as well. It's the natural phenomena the cosmos practices with every living species.

Adi comes in as the condemned one, fallen from grace by his very own family. Yet he is far from the anti- hero. In the vision of the easily duped  eyes  of the two families present, he is the rejected and excluded one! but the divinities are familiar that like Zoya too he is one good soul stitched up by his righteousness, when it comes in contact with guile of evil!

Even at the moment of lighting the  pyre, due to his righteousness  Adi himself judges him self  in wake of public opinion and  forfeits  his birth right of being the eldest son. This is how evil operates, goodness itself is its worst critic and as such, Adi does exactly as Rajveer expects him to do, disgrace himself publicly, bid farewell to his father with a grieving heart and guilty torturing conscience.

Still moral justice need not always be seen, upon this sinful earth as the deities in heaven are aware Adi is innocent. That also on earth when all close to him turn their backs upon him, Adi's life partner  continues to show both him and the world that she sides her husband!

Arjun has to light his fathers pyre, alongside Rajveer being the eldest. Arjun accepts the truth where as Adi negates it.Arjun appears positioned between the two brothers.. older than him brothers! Adi and Rajveer!  Arjun positioning within Harsh's issues  is clear, that Arjun remains the youngest out of Harsh's fold. He too, is in the painful situation of being caught up between two older brothers! Adi who he grew up with, and Rajveer whom he barely knows, except by the revised power he now holds.

Zoya too is pushed aside harshly as an outsider, who only sides her  criminal husband Adi.  Sadly the faithful Arjun, is overwhelmed by the issue of blood is thicker than water.

Arjun  too is ripped between several predicaments, look to his estranged mother or to the woman he called his sister? should he lean towards his beloved bhai who had no crooked bone in his body! or to his mother about whom Arjun really does not really known the whole truth?

But in all this landscape of  tedious human blood bonds and other frail human relationships. Rajveer and his Naani act  as the emissaries and ambassadors of the evil one. Both thrive upon the goodness of the pure souls and works of Adi. Zoya  and Arjun. like  Naani quoted earlier, they  needn't get their hands soiled.. the virtuous will do it for them , in the name of fighting for truth and justice!

They say do not judge others as all will be judged in due course! and none one is without a blemish. Yet Naani appears to be the judgement giver. She is the one who  predicts, in the episode, how the   the estranged  and partly insane Anjana will end up  scouring the streets like a madwoman!  who loses two important men in her life. Her  husband and her son! Naani brings out the chilling similarity between  her daughter Pallavi's fate and that soon which Anjana is about to face..

Rajveer's scene with Zoya is typical of a degenerate man who targets women to  mentally cripple a vumerable man by  casting an evil  eye on the foes wife, mother, sister or daughter! to dishonour the enemy. Rajveer to me appears to be  the true son of Harshvardhan Hooda, like his father, he lacks respect of woman and treats them like a means to an end, be it for pleasure or business. Rajveer though, even crosses the boundaries of obscenity, decency,  one expect towards women in civilized societies let along within the family code of conduct.

In comparison Adi  as much as we see, is Harsh's son who does honour and respect women, be it his wicked mother or his wife Zoya who  not so long ago was the widow of the man who ran away with Adi's wife Pooja! Maybe Adi inherits Harsh mellowed mature properties after Harsh began to mend his ways?

But there is marked difference of how both brothers treat women.  Adi treats  a woman as the mother goddess , mother earth that sustains creation. Rajveer treats  a woman as the mother earth whose soil  should be ravaged and desecrated to stop it from sustaining new life! just like his mother was treated and left by the way side by one man's selfishness

Rajveer's suggestion  to Zoya his brothers wife, to sleep with him if she wants her husband set free, is an option he puts before Zoya. I am unsure if all this is to do with loving, fantasizing, about Zoya? or simply playing politically motivated war games?  How like a  deadly siper he allures Zoya in his web by cajoling her, would she rather  save her honour? Than lose her husbands life? its her decision upon which he eagerly awaits upon. The manner in which he raises and loosely crosses his tattooed arms above his head shows the high he gets from seeing Zoya caught between two  equation. Which  he sees her losing! in which  ever option she chooses!

I see it as a moment when  even the godly are not spared from the temptations and enticement  that evil offer them as an easy option, to scale through a challenging situation.  But then these are times to test one's virtue.

Not only does Rajveer tempt Zoya's virtue, but her own father Waseem too, tempts her to come away home with him! walk away from her shallow ,meaning less relationship with Aditya  by seeking divorce.

Where ever Zoya turns, all doors and options seem to close upon her as she faces Adi going down with life imprisonment. What the world fails to perceive is that her second  true love marriage of mutual consent  with Adi is a life imprisonment of their souls  quite boundless and limitless.

Its sad to note that Waseem rejects a daughter who knows how to protect both her husband and both their virtues from the evil eyes of the world.  We see in the episode, that this time Zoya forever alienates herself from her father, to be at par with Adi who stands disaffected and disillusioned by his family.

The analogy of Ram , Sita and Ravan is aptly used by the cv's to highlight Zoya being caught between  the devil and the deep blue sea..  even the boundary etched by her Lakshman, Arjun, appears  faint now.. making it easier for Rajveer the modern  day Ravan to defile the virtue of   Zoya..

Like Sita,Zoya  too will have to justify the choices she makes..especially if she choses to protect her honour in place of her Ram's, Adi's life.  In a way Rajveer  manipulates her  yet shows her how the world is likely to judge her for being a woman! One more time the world will mock her as   jinxed, an evil soul who kills her husbands! Yash first and now Adi! Rajveer ,true to his nature  will use all means fair or foul to dishonour his  adversary Adi by tainting his wife's virtue!

Zoya will have to cross the river of fire, walk on the burning embers of coal to safeguard both  Adi and her  credit and honour from Rajveer! Also in the scenario  of even being maligned or implicated to being with Rajveer, will she uphold her  pure reputation  before her Adi?? just like in the  faith story of Rama and Sita the cv's refer too.

I suppose this is where their complete and Bepannah  trust  in each other will come to surface. The precap is evil hovers over virtue ,regardless.. both reside side by side in this world, ready to overpower each other.

Harshad chopra, as Adi the disaffected vulnerable Hooda son, Jennifer Winget as Zoya. his back up strong virtuous wife, Parineeti as  Anjana ,the mentally unstable traumatized  Harsh s widow ,and Apurva Agnihoti as Rajveer the eldest devil incarnate son of Harsh Hooda! Are all magnificent in the episode. They together give us more reason than ever before to keep Bepannah up and running as the best show on ITV... Hamlet53. 21.11.18

Keep watching Bepannah! all is not lost... Love hammie

Ohhh hammie absolutely bang on title n some brilliant  thoughts u shared with us abt tuesday epi..
Some brilliantly nerve wreking comparison of both HH's sons, idk hw much we should blame HH fr Rajveer's cold blooded killing n destoying spree.. HH was genuinely shown guilty for pallavi n Rajveer here Rajveer has no remorse n how brutually he s trying to break Adi into pieces is gruesome to say least!

Im sad that CVs butcher even Arjun here.. thats how he had always been in past also wen Xoya was on Paak rishta spree, he blindly oppose Adi.. he had never gone out of the way to understand Adi.. i know he s grieved right now beyond the comprrhension..but still Adi does deserves some blind faith of his loved ones..

Actually CVs want us to show hw that blind faith for Adi  only Zoya can show..even wen Adi himself lost the self belief,, wen he himself is unsure abt himself, its Zoya who stands by him,, t he analogy of Ram Sita Raavan n then Lakshman u described phenomenoly hammie...

Adi as a character has always been shown the deprived one.. ill always be mad at writers fr that.. the poor soul has never been shown to taste his reletionships to its fullest! His last memory with his father is going to haunt me for long hammie.. he does deserve that happy good bye to his father.. he has always been at logger heads with his father, he does deserve that peace that his father was happy with him to lead his rest of the life guilt free.. but writers deprived him here also!

Watching Anjana crazy was wat actually Karma.. n nani should dread abt her future also looking at her miserable state but alas humans are one egoistc specie, they understands only wen karma hit!?!

Idk hammie im sad today, n m scared but ur last lines gives me hope , idk wat wud i do if i dun get ths dose of positivity after each epi.. ill always e grateful n thankful that u wrote abt an Harshad's show with so much n persuassion n brilliance! Luv n hugs to u fr making ths journey memorable for me n for the forum..

yes Rajveer backed by his nan, is clear and ruthless in targeting  Adi.. Zoya is being used as a pawn to injure Adi.. at least Rajveer's intentions are obvious..
Arjun stands for those close relationships that one trusts, yet they too can turn against  sour due to obvious circumstances.. the greater truth for Arjun is that his father is no more.. and his maa is off the rails !

but the truth is human traits may slight vary according to callings of the times.. lets see where trust comes in between Adiya.. Arjun as Lakshman , I suspect is looking after his mother, the remaing family honour

the writers have actually cashed in on the process  of bereavement  previously not only Pooja cheated on him.. she also died  so what he had to say to her never went through... in Harsh's case his father died gruesomely... that in itself  is something he has to come to terms with..on top of it all blame him for murdering his father..  adi needs specialist treatment alongside family support.. only adi can in due time heal himself... of course if he is cleared  of murder, things can turn for the better..
Watching Anjana crazy was wat actually Karma.. n nani should dread abt her future also looking at her miserable state but alas humans are one egoistc specie, they understands only wen karma hit!?!
yes.. Nusi... its a case of the known saying  one reaps, what one sows... Anjana has a lot of  criminality on her hands..  viewers will be pleased to see her finished

well Nusi  Bepannah  will carry on , one way or another.. as a viewer, like you too ,I too  value and respect the  standard of work the actors deliver before us..  I will continue to write till the finale.. its too good to resist  so the motto for me is to be faithful to the show, penning my thoughts ,  is my  faith... thank you for upholding    your faith in me..  much love as always yours hammie
