Bepannah My thoughts~ ep 176 16.11.18~ This point in time ..
Harshvardan Hooda's mulls things over in his mind. The hour glass in the back ground symbolizes the passage of time; the inevitability of time. Harsh Hooda's life reminds me of a line from a popular song life is an hour glass glued to the table! Which humans would love to turn over but the sand keeps pouring out from one section into the other. In Harsh's case can he reverse time?.The sand just slips away and so does time. Alas! time has played a very important role in Harsh's life and in the lives of those connected with him. At this moment in time he tackles the issue of dual families. One recognized family and the other that's popped out from the woodwork of time! The only snag is his two families are from two different phases of his life.
At this point in time when the truth about his past family is exposed before his present family, Harsh, as we see him, has fine intentions of sweeping the mess between his two families by working towards reconciling both the families in due time. Really,Harsh tries now to outrun present time. He tries to cope with past mistakes, aims to conquer time by bequeathing owed rights to Rajveer. Plans to reunite both his sons Adi and Rajveer! But the sad reality is about the gloom that the episode reveals. Harsh does not have enough time as the sand moves in the hour glass, shifts and equations do change.
Time moves at its own pace. Time at this point also favour Rajveer and Naani. Despite this, one thing frightens Naani that Zoya will continue to provide cover for the Hoodas. Evil clearly fears the presence of goodness. Suddenly it sounds that Zoya now becomes the focus of assault rather than the Hoodas. Naani scoffs that Harsh thinks he has bought himself a pardon for his past betrayal of Pallavi but he is mistaken. Rajveer is plotting more on the lines of giving Zoya a jolt far worse than the one she has seen.
To me he plans perhaps to do away with Harsh and then pin the blame on Zoya's husband Aditya. Rajveer has done his homework well on Adi. He is aware the man will go to pieces! seek respite in local bars! Alcohol will trigger Adi's rage, slow and after a certain point in time sweeps away his conscious rationale! Its no surprise either that while Adi is at the pub, later staggering back home on his own. Rajveer is very much in Hooda house.. suspicion of murdering Harsh can easily fall on him as well...
Adi's staggered entry! Knocking and smashing a vase to pieces! relates to his fathers broken promises. Shattered expectations, Adi had from his father! That Pa' would side with them as his family!
Like the broken pieces of the vase that Adi treads across, his father hurt him, his mother and Arjun! broken the flow of their family life by creating a crisis in their lives! His father broken family ties with them, by embracing a stranger an outsider Rajveer! As part of his family. To Adi, Harsh shows no extra care for relationships. Arjun, him and their mother are like a smashed pieces of the porcelain vase on the floor! Ready to be swept away!
On the contrary we see Zoya, in the business of picking the pieces of broken relationships and championing the process of repair. as far as she sees, it's time for damage assessment and rehabilitation!
Sometimes words spoken in fury turn out deadly! Send one behind bars!
Adi seeing the knife in a drunken state, is just the easily available murder weapon!Is this accessory in a bowl of fruit planted? to trap Adi into the shocking predicament of patricide?
Last time too Adi went for the fruit knife his target Rajveer! At that moment in time Adi's action was subverted by his father! Is it possible that under cover Rajveer in this instance, gives Adi enough rage and insanity to actually pull out the knife and mount the stairs up to his father's study! Only if Adi attacks Harsh! Rajveer will not be there to intervene! Is all this then part of an act? Set out to show Adi to be the son who murders his father??
Was Adi only a dead drunk son slumped in a chair, with the fruit knife in his hand? unaware of his Pa's stabbed to death facing down body on the floor? Did he kill his father? Or was his father stabbed already before Adi arrived at the study? Rajveer is a suspect as much as Adi is shown as the killer. For in the previous episode he mused.. that his father needn't bother to sort things out between the two brothers, as Rajveer will do what has to be done ..his way or highway!
The scene where Harsh stands up in his study at the first floor and looks down at his son Aditya on the ground floor! is the saddest moment in time in the episode! it's the last time Adi glares up at a father he looked up too! The whole scene is engineered and obvious. Adi mounts the stairs.. symbolically staggers up to have a face off! with his father Harsh Hooda!
The knife itself relates to severance, death, division.. or liberation! Adi holding the knife, for Rajveer and Naani means Anjana's son will cut his relationship from both his father and mother and possibly Arjun too. Since Anjana and Arjun will look upon Adi as the killer!
Furthermore, the knife for Rajveer, means completion of a large chunk of his revenge. Harsh Hooda will be dead! and his son Aditya! Would be banged up for betraying his family! Anjana the woman who made Rajveer and his mother both suffer! Will end up losing both her husband Harsh the man she stole from Rajveer's mother and her prized older son who was her shield and greatest support!
When assumption is treated as if its judgement itself! The gruesome murder scene with all the evidence. Evidence that points to Adi as the one who did it! People who loved Harsh his son Arjun and his daughter cum bahu Zoya are devastated! Adi is too drunk to perceive what is going on. But when Zoya revives him.. he shouts no!! no! and then goes into shock! His whole body turns numb! He is deaf to accusations hurled at him for murdering his father! Adi is even deaf to the grief his Zoya gets from this now sober Naani !
Rajveer and his conniving Naani shed crocodile tears, order the servants for send for the police! click pictures! openly collect evidence to incriminate Adi! chide Zoya for tampering with evidence when she tries to remove the bloodstained murder weapon from Adi's blood stained hand flopping down the chair..
The finale scene is the arrival of a half asleep sleep pills dosed up Anjana! Cruelly Naani mocks her mothering skills when she sneers at Anjana, that her pride and joy Adi has just killed her husband! Anjana wails in disbelief..
Hearing his mothers mournful wail is the moment in time,when Adi gathers himself .With a phased out face, folded legs, its heart -breaking to see how he moves closer to both seek and offer support to his mother!
The way Anjana glares at him! and hisses don't touch me! Silently breaks the bond between mother and son. This mother who never let Adi go! Now coldly denies the very existence of this person whose palm is smeared with her Harsh's blood..
All those years he lived away from his mother, the agony he suffered! the tears he shed. Sweet revenge! Rajveer's face shows.. Now Anjana will go through it psychologically.. how can she accept Adi , the killer of her husband as her son?? As for Aditya.. his mothers sworn protector, as much as he will want to be his mothers shield will spend his time praying for her forgiveness! Rajveer metes out his cold judgement. But then again to forgive those who wronged him, is like giving up his right! To hate those who wronged him! to forgive is the quality of a god! and he far from being a god!
But this is where Zoya comes in with her crucial words to Arjunl, no matter what is evident he has to believe that Adi is prone to say things in a fit of rage! Like when he threatened to kill his father.. but in reality Adi is not the sort of person who would hurt someone deliberately! let alone kill his own father!
If Arjun to begins to dither in his support for Adi , it will be something Rajveer and Naani hanker for! so they can win Arjun to their side also!
The war now is between Zoya and Rajveer and naani .. they will try to get at Adi by giving Zoya a tough time. But Zoya too will try to dodge them. As Zoya's priority is to pull the family, namely, Anjana, Arjun and Adi together .. all three have very defined needs.. Anjana though, I don't think will take Zoya's support, while Adi will need Zoya more than ever before! Both him and Zoya know he did not kill Harsh..
But does the son have to pay for his father's sins? As viewers our hearts bled,as we without a doubt hold firm faith that Aditya Hooda is innocent! There is optimism in us that like before this time too he will come out unscathed .This time too his inherent goodness now chivvied on by Zoya and Arjun will emerge victorious. For this time Aditya as the episode outlines, has been set free from the strongest bonds in humanity one can have. The bond of parent /child...yet the war between virtue wages on and those who uphold virtue continue to hope that goodness shall prevail over evil, however unrealistic it may appear at this moment in time.
So we bid a fond farewell to Harsh Hooda the character and Rajesh the veteran actor who breathed life in one of the major characters in the story line of Bepannah. Harsh will be missed as he was the one who brought Zoya and Adi together, evermore at this moment in time. Now do we misinterpret the role of his son Rajveer ? will apparent evil become the reason to galvanize more the bond of Zoya and Adi? that bond, that Rajveer set out to break? Will he actually cement their bond more? Thus out of destruction create an exemplary Bepannah relationship between Adi and Zoya. Let me think like an idealist at this moment in time.. hamlet53 18.11.18
