The talented and beautiful actress, Adaa Khan, who was last seen as the antagonist Shesha on Ekta Kapoor's TRP-raker Naagin', is back in action. However, contrary to reports that she has been finalised to play a daayan in Ekta's upcoming thriller, she has bagged the lead role in Rashmi Sharma's Vish Ya Amrit: Sitaara'. With this, Adaa will also break away from her negative screen image no mean feat for an actor these days. She will play the heroine on the new show

A source associated with the project informed us, "The show is set against the backdrop of Jaisalmer and the shoot for the first schedule will commence soon in Bikaner. The story, which is based on the folklore of Vishakanya, revolves around a girl named Sitaara, who fights every odd to protect her family. The makers of the show have finalised Adaa to play the heroine and she fits the part perfectly."

While Rashmi didn't respond to our text message, Adaa confirmed the news. She said, "Yes, I am a part of the show and will play the title role. It's a positive character. I am excited and looking forward to commencing the shoot."

Others who will be seen on the show are Shilpa Saklani, Shakti Anand, Lavina Tandon and Falaq Naaz.
