And Bucephalus, the horse of Alexander, fell, shot by Porus, and breathed his last. When this happened, Alexander without regard to the battle, drew the horse out of the mle that he might not be taken away by the enemy. π²
Porus was delighted at this and promised to enter a duel, for he saw that the stature of Alexander was not comparable to his own. For Porus was five cubits tall and Alexander three. Then when the armies of both sides were stationed opposite each other and inspected, suddenly there was a great uproar in the army of Porus. Porus hidden army attacked Macedonians. Hephestion and Persian forcefully took Alexander to the camp. The battle was halted for night.π²The battle resumed next morning in the hefty rain. There was no result. Both the forces retreated.π²Here battle began after two weeks again. And this is how it ended...When Alexander saw that Porus had turned round and was looking behind him, he ran at him and stabbed him under the shoulders and drove the weapon out beneath his navel and slew him.

Theae are bits from Alexander romance book...it's fictional book written after 300 years of Alex death..but tewari is following it ardently...many Alex scenes and dialogues are taken from this book...
So according to this book Alexander and Porus had multiple rounds of fighting? If so, then it makes sense that SidT would use this in the script as it allows him to waste many episodes on multiple skirmishes where Porus tries to beat Alexander to a pulp instead of showing Alexander winning the war outright in their first and only meeting.
Anything for drama.
Oh My God! That's exactly what is happening! π²
@green- That teer bomb! π
Though the next line has the plot which was covered in a different skirmish. So, SidT's trikaaldarshi research team actually referred to the Alexander Romance! π
Regarding the end, I would not be surprised if Alexander kills Porus as described here, that is by deceit! We already saw him on his funeral pyre! π
