Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's film, Sui Dhaaga: Made in India has connected with the audience. Fans have loved the film and even the critics have appreciated Varun and Anushka's performance in the film. The film is based in a small town and depicts a couple's journey from being employed to becoming entrepreneurs. Varun plays the role of a tailor in the film and Anushka essays the role of an embroiderer. The film has done great business on the opening weekend. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma allotted 40 days to promote the film.

They promoted the film by traveling to different cities in India; they also promoted the film on reality TV shows. Varun and Anushka also started a chain of Sui Dhaaga challenge in which they tagged a colleague from the industry to take the challenge. The challenge was to successfully pass the thread through the eye of the needle. Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and many other stars took the challenge. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were also nominated to take the challenge. While we haven't seen Deepika's video, Ranveer Singh's Sui Dhaaga challenge has a twist.
