Surati girl, Heli Daruwala, who first
started her acting career with youth
shows (Suvreen Guggal, Humse Hai Life), is
quite excited about her foray into
mainstream GEC television, courtesy, Balaji
Telefilms' Naagin 3.
"I have been a big fan of the earlier
seasons as well. Plus it gives me a chance
to work with the biggest production
house. The concept of shape-shifting
snakes has always done well, either on TV
or the big screen.
Coming to her role, she says, "I really like
the twists and turns my character Anu is
going through, including the jealous,
romantic track with Shaan and Mahir,
which involved attempted murder and
suicide. At first, I thought I would be just
one of eye witnesses of the original
murder, but to my pleasant surprise, the
entire sapera track unfolded.
So does she think she gets enough screen
space, given the fact that there are many
known actors and characters in the
show? "Balaji, being past masters of the
trade, know how to give justice to all their
characters. And given the graph of the
show, even a small appearance is enough
to leave its mark on the audience.
Heli, who was last seen in Nisha Aur Uske
Cousins, regards her earlier outing as a
stepping stone to the big league."Back
then, I was very young; hence was doing
school and college romance. Now I feel I'm
ready for proper drama. I have never
loved acting so much as now.
In closing, Heli, who is open for web
series too, bonds well with all her Naagin
co-stars. "But yes, I am closest to Surbhi
Jyoti. She is a real darling.
