Anurag Basu's Life in a Metro has been one
of the most loved films of 2007. The film
which dealt with stories of four different
couples, won immense critical acclaim and
also did well at the box office, with its Music
ruling the charts.
Now after eleven years, Anurag Basu is all
set to direct and produce a sequel to the
2007 hit. Reports about actors like Kareena
Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan,
Rajkummar Rao among others have already
being doing the rounds. However, there is
no confirmation on the same about it yet. In
fact, Basu got on to Twitter and clarified that
since it is an ensemble cast, getting the
dates is difficult and hence it is taking time.

Amidst these speculations, we have got to
know from a source that Basu has also
approached Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana
D'Cruz for his film. "Anurag has launched
Ileana and they share a good rapport. So it's
no surprise that he approached her for this
film. She is equally excited for this. However
the paper work is yet to happen. Abhishek
Bachchan is too being considered for the
film and Anurag has given him the
narration. He has liked the script, informs
our source.
Our source also informed that the sequel is
all set to go on-floors in October end.
"Anurag Basu is currently working on the
final edit of the script and simulataneously is
also locking the cast. The makers are aiming
to release the movie sometime in July-
August next year. But the release date isn't
final yet, concludes our source.
