Not just Sonam, Anand Ahuja too has changed his name on Instagram

Within few minutes of tying the knot with Anand Ahuja, Sonam Kapoor's social-media accounts said her name was now 'Sonam Kapoor Ahuja'. On both Instagram and Twitter, where Sonam is active, her name now is Sonam K Ahuja.

The decision of taking her husband's surname did not go down too well with her fans, as Sonam is known to be a feminist. However, not many noticed that Anand too has changed his name on social media.

On Instagram, the Delhi-based fashion entrepreneur's name is now Anand S Ahuja.

So, it's not just Sonam who has taken Anand's surname after their marriage. Anand, too, has shown solidarity by adding his wife's name to his name.

In an exclusive interview to India Today Television at Cannes International Film Festival 2018 where the actress walked for cosmetics and beauty giant L'Oreal Paris, Sonam said that it's a matter of choice. And it took her some time to make the decision.

She added, "And if people don't understand the concept of feminism, they need to go online and look at the description. And how do you know Anand has not changed his name?"

After dating for a few years, Sonam tied the knot with Anand on May 8 in Mumbai, in a traditional Sikh ceremony. Their anand karaj saw the couple's family members and close friends in attendance. The wedding festivities ended on a high note, with a star-studded reception the same night, which saw the who's who of Bollywood let their hair down and dance like there's no tomorrow.
