Novelists, Social Media Influencers,Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Two days ago, author Amish Tripathi took to Twitter to reveal that a special screening of Padmaavat had him convinced the film "celebrates Rajput bravery". mid-day has learnt that the screening was only one among a series that will be held ahead of the film's January 24 release for various artistes.
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, we hear, will host trials for social media Influencers to get their opinion about Padmaavat, before it is aired in cinemas. A source says, "Bhansali wants to be certain that the film doesn't hurt sentiments. He will show it to a variety of people, including columnists, designers and writers, to get their feedback and make last-minute amends, if needed."
It is speculated that writers Chetan Bhagat and Durjoy Datta will also catch a screening this week, and a screening will be organised for the royal families of Rajasthan too.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati now titled Padmaavat is all set to release in a week and the buzz for the film is sky-high. The trailer has been loved and the scale and grandeur of the film is such that it looks like a big screen watch without a shred of doubt. Sadly, the film faced protests from certain quarters. Fearing a law and order situation, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana asked for a ban of the film in their respective states. The makers however moved the Supreme Court and going by the past instances, Padmaavat makers surely seem to be on the winning side. And now, the makers of Padmaavat have secured one more victory. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali organized a special screening of his ambitious film to none other than Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the revered spiritual leader and founder of Art of Living Foundation.
