Yes It's none other than Shidhart Malhotra, the heart throb of teenage girls, the ruler of million hearts.
33 years ago(1985) today Shidhart Malhotra was born in Delhi into a Punjabi family Sunil, a former captain in the Merchant Navy, and Rimma Malhotra, a homemaker. He was schooled at Delhi's Don Bosco School and Birla Vidya Niketan and graduated from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi.maybe no one then knew he was going to be a star that will shine so bright.
Shidhart started his career as a ramp model at the age of 18 being associated with brands like NIIT, pantaloons etc and he walked in ramps for renowned designers like Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal . He was seen in Roberto Cavalli's advertisement campaigns appearing in covers of magazines like Redbook, Gladrags, Men's health. But being not so satisfied with his life as a model , he entered in film industry as an assistant director to Karan Joharin the 2010 film My Name Is Khan. He made his acting debut with a leading role in Johar's comedy-drama Student of the Year (2012), for which he received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination and it was a turning point in his life and there was no looking back.
His next film was hasee toh phasee, a comedy-drama released in 2014 where he played an ambitious business man and further on he starred as a tough criminal in a romantic thriller"Ek Villain". In his second film of 2014 that is a family drama "Kapoor and Sons" directed by Karan Johar he was casted as an aspiring author along with Fawad khan and Alia Bhatt. He always impressed everyone with his heartfelt and lively performance.
The latter two rank among Malhotra's highest-grossing films, with a worldwide gross of over 1 billion (US$16 million) each.
In 2015, Malhotra appeared in the remake of the Hollywood film Warrior (2011), entitled Brothers, directed by Karan Malhotra and co-starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.
He also stated in "Baar baar Dekho", a romantic comedy playing a mathematician in 2016 and in a world wide released film "The Gentleman" in 2017 but these two did not prove to be as successful .
Apart from acting in films, he is also an endorser of several brands and products, such as Coca Cola, Corneto, and American Swan.
In the year 2013, he collaborated with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi to raise funds for the flood affected victims of Uttarkhand. He worked with PETA for a campaign to create awareness about dogs.
In 2012, the actor got nominated for Filmfare award for Best Male Debut, Screen awards in the category of most promising new comer male, ETC Bollywood business awards in the category of most profitable debut male, Big Star Entertainment award in the category of Most entertaining actor debut- male. He got these award nominations for his film Student of the Year'.In 2014, Malhotra received BIG Star Entertainment Awards in the category of Most Entertaining actor in a romantic film male for his film Hasee Toh Phasee.
In 2018 his upcoming film is a crime-drama "Aiyari" releasing on 26'th January with Monoj Bajpayee and Rakul preeth singh.
