Today's episode was so nice…👏
First the headlines:- Arjun adamant on taking Bauji with him to San Fransisco… Bauji decides to go
- All the ppl in the locality are worried about Bauji going and also his house being up for sale… they decide to buy the house… but are not able to collect that much money.
- Arjun is shown why Bauji is important in the locality… even by his daughter…
- He leaves Bauji without making it look like he was the one who was responsible.😕
Now, the full summary:
Bauji returns home after talking to Sandip (see last update to know what he did in Sandip's house). Arjun is worried and asks why he was out so late (they had eaten their dinner without him). Bauji tells him that he was practicing staying away from home. Arjun tells him that he will not let him stay so late there. He further tells him that every night and during breakfast the whole family will eat together and talk. Bauji is in a melancholic mood.
Late in the night, Bauji is sitting outside and thinking, in a very sad mood. He imagines Kaushalya appearing. He tells her that he didn't have the gut to take a decision…he didn't want to stay alive anymore. He asks her to take him with her. She says that there is a long journey in her side… compared to that the journey that their son wants him to take is very small. She tells him that before he comes to her (i.e. before he dies) he should not break anybody's heart, not even his son's… mere taraf aane se pehle apne bet eke mann mein malal nahin rakhna chahiye.😭
Next morning-
Angelica brings tea for Bauji. Seeing this Bauji feels happy. He tells her that he shud first water Kaushalya's plant and then only he will have tea. As he gets out of bed and sees his slippers… the slippers are placed right on top of the left… he says that this signifies that he will be taking a long journey… a journey maybe to San Fransisco… Arjun's house. Hearing this Angelica is very happy.😃
Urmi brings breakfast to Sandip as her mom is busy with something. She is angry to see that he hadn't had dinner… she tells him that he shud not take somebody else's anger on the food. Sandip tries to tell her off, but Urmi tells him that shouting at her will not remove the "For Sale" board from Bauji's house.😭😭
Meanwhile, Arjun is talking to a Mr. Upadhayay telling him that he has to buy the house that very day coz they wud be going the very next day.😡😡
Sandip gets a passport officer to get the formalities done fast.😕😕
Shuklaji aka Bauji is asked various questions… like how long has he stayed in the house (past 34 years), who Kaushalya Shukla is and why hasn't the death certificate been submitted. Just then Arjun comes and tells the passport officer that Sandip will get the other formalities done.
Arjun tells Sandip to do something about the furniture… sell
them or distribute them to the locality ppl. Sandip tells him not to torture
these 'emotional fools' in the locality. Also he tells Arjun that he has to
sell the furniture himself as it was his 'family matter'. 😭
Arjun goes
inside and asks Angelica to pack his mother's photo frame with the other
luggage also. Bauji asks him to leave the photo there. Just then Arjun sees a
pot and asks Bauji about it. Bauji tells him that it was Kaushalya's remains
and it was waiting for him to immerse in the river. Arjun is shocked. [:-o]
Arjun and Bauji come out of the house… Arjun carrying the remains. The whole locality are stunned seeing this. They don't want to let Arjun take the remains but Bauji tells them that he had asked him to and he confirms that it was his wish to go to US with his son. As they go… Guptaji says that Shuklaji has learnt how to lie in front of them.😡
In the caf shop, all the ppl in the locality are determining how much it wud cost to buy the furniture. A guy called Naresh sums up and says Rs. 22,250. Everybody contribute and the money is collected. Then is the matter of keeping/storing the furniture. They decide that they will have to buy the house also… main reason being that they want to have a hope that Shuklaji might return one day.😆
Everybody go to Arjun, in Bauji's house to talk to him. Bauji is not there. After giving him the money for the furniture they tell him that they want to buy the house. Arjun tells them that the house has been sold to somebody. They try to persuade him.. he agrees and tells them that the house was worth 18 lakhs. The locality ppl agree to pay but tell him that since its impossible to give him so much money in one go… it wud be better if he took them in installments. Arjun doesn't like the idea. He says that he will never return and he has no means of collecting the money from them. Just then Bauji comes which makes them stop talking.
At night-
Bauji gives Sandip medicines that the locality ppl need. He tells
him that he has made the medicines for a month. If they need more he has told a
medicine shop beside the railway station to prepare them. Just before going he
asks Sandip to promise that the locality will not cry while he wud be going the
next day. Sandip tells him that he will see to it… but he wud not be able to
see him off as he wud not be able to see him go😭
Later in
the night, Sandip is standing in the verandah gloomy, when Arjun comes. He comments
on Sandip having such a big heart. He had kept his whole house open which might
lead thieves to steal from his house. Sandip tells him that there was nothing
valuable other than books and emotions to steal from his house and anyways
whatever was valuable had been stolen so he dint care. 😉
Arjun tells him that knew that he was angry with him but he couldn't do anything about it coz he really needed his father in the US… there was no growth here…. Blah blah blah…. He went on…😡
Sandip says…. "if u want to watch the sun rise, u have to see the East… in the west the sun sets".👏 Arjun is distraught and tells him off for having such a negative mentality about the west. He tells him that he has settled down completely there and is doing very well in his job… he wants that even Sandip goes with him and make a career for himself there as he had more potential than he was using. Sandip tells him that he loves his country too much to settle down in some alien land… "Hum bekason ke liye apna pyaara watan mubarak".👏
Arjun tells him that he will not be able to prevent him from taking his father… after all he was his responsibility. Sandip replies that he had a wrong notion that he was being prevented. He tells him that the whole locality had the power to stop not only Bauji but also him and his family… "acha hoga kit um yahan se Bauji ko lekar chup-chap chale jao".😡
Next morning-
The whole locality has been able to collect only 4 lakh rupees and there are talks with the bank… but they can give only 5 lakhs. Money was short and there was no other way.😭
Urmi goes to Sandip to tell him this news… she asks him to give this news to Arjun. As she turns to go, Bauji from inside stops her and tells her to come inside. He tells her since he wud be going soon he wud like to talk to her the last time. He asks her about her music classes… which Sandip is supposed to teach her. She says its going fine. When Bauji asks her to sing the Rani-Radhika song, she is unable to sing. He asks Sandip to sing. Sandip sings the song… but he is unable to sing it perfectly… Bauji then sings the song himself, which brings tears to both Sandip and Urmi's eyes.😭
In his house, Bauji is uprooting the Tulsi plant. Angelica sees this and calls Arjun. Arjun tells Bauji that if he uprooted the plant it wud die. Bauji tells him that in a way even he was being uprooted and taken to someother place. If he doesn't die then surely the plant can survive too as he wanted the take the plant with him. Arjun goes inside when he is unable to explain.😕😕😕
Inside the house Ananya (Arjun's daughter) is coloring a picture she has made. Arjun asks her what she was coloring. She explains that she has made a house and mom and dad and in another picture she made another house and there she made dadaji and herself. When Arjun asks why did she make herself with dadaji and not her parents… she tells him that when she grows up she will come to stay with dadaji then he will not feel so sad. Arjun realizes that he was doing a mistake. He goes out of the room.😕
Time for Bauji to go-
Everybody say goodbye to Bauji and Arjun and their family. Bauji
tells Urmi to take care of the temple and continue with her solah somvaar ka
vrat. Others give him a sad goodbye… without tears! 😕
Arjun asks Angelica to check whether the passports and tickets are their or not. Angelica tells him that Bauji's passport and ticket is not there in her bag. Arjun is very angry on the ppl of the locality. He tells them that they never wanted Bauji to go with him… he calls Sandip and tells him to keep Bauji as his passport and ticket was lost and he wud be unable to go to the US without those. He takes the bag out of the car top and goes.😉😉
Everybody is shocked on this unexpected surprise.
Bauji tells them that he needs a little time for himself😕
He goes to his house, which is absolutely empty without the furniture. He finds Kaushalya's photo frame on the wall. As he picks up the photo he sees his passport and ticket drop from under it.😛😛
It also had a letter. He reads the letter🤢
The letter was written by Arjun… he says sorry for making him go thru the agony of leaving Colonel Gunj. He tells him that he has realized that his life was nothing without this locality and its ppl. He tells him how Sandip, his daughter and even he himself taught him the true essence of existence in a place. He tells him that he is going a changed man and will soon return with Angelica and Ananya… "Apki poti aur bahu ka favorite rang pink hai… ghar ko paint karwa lijiyega…. Hum jald hi lautenge!!!"😛
Wasn't that sweet guys!!😳
It brought tears to my eyes…😆
