Yeah, this serial was a mature take on relationships, with fantastic acting from the leads.

No over the top melodrama that we see today, and it didn't go on and on forever!

haan aaj ke seriels bi bas 4/5 saal chalte hai--story kya se kya ho jati hai

Maine dekha few episodes, read the rest of the story online...

So her husband leaves her on Suhaag Raat for another woman... It's a joint family, she lives with her kind but conservative in-laws... One day her husband comes back but she refuses to take him back... Her relationship with her in-laws gets tenser... But her relationship with her brother-in-law becomes warmer 😉 But it's shown in a tasteful and realistic way... You're never sure till the end...

It was a weekly and had less than 200 episodes... That was the reason TV shows had good story then, they were finite...

Asha said she had a really hard time filming this song bcz she had allergies and had to take medications

And that director Vijay Anand (Dev Anand's brother) had this habit of taking lengthy shots at once

But it doesn't show in the end product, looks like Asha is having fun actually ⭐️
