Akshay Kumar's Gold has been in news in for more than one reason. Be it the gripping story of the first gold that India clinched as a free nation in 1948 London Olympics or Khiladi Kumar's look or Mouni Roy's big screen debut , everything about Gold is busy making headlines.
Following the footsteps of Mouni, another TV actress is making her debut with Akshay's Gold. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Nikita Dutta, who is currently the lead of the upcoming TV show Haasil with Zayed Khan and Vatsal Sheth, has bagged a role in Reema Kagti's film.
She will be seen opposite Vicky Kaushal's younger brother Sunny in the film.
A source was quoted as telling the daily, "Nikita started shooting for her portions in the film in Amristar in the second week of September and will be there for another 15 days for some more romantic sequences with Sunny. She also has some important scenes with Akshay, which will be shot at a later date as the actor is back in Mumbai for his television show."
The film is set to hit the screens on August 15, 2018.
