Who doesn't love Bhima? ;)

Is the book available online or do you have to buy it?

LOL
It is weird as it is more Dvaita literature, but the one thing that is beautiful is the truth of Bhama, and a lot of things on Bhima as well :)
Satyabhama is literally shown as a Leeladharini in the events she is involved in, which makes more sense that the diluted version we read.

Does anyone here subscribe to or even remotely is intrigued by the idea of K.M.Munshi that Krishna wasn't a god but a near perfect man who was exalted to the status of God by the men of that age?

To each his own on the matters of faith. But this idea is badly and almost sinfully toying with my head. Its helps bridge the gaps between history and said mythology of that period...something which is very much a blur. It is an instinctive human emotion to believe in and raise legendary leaders on a raised platform. Krishna being one such man is a very concrete idea. Krishna Udayshankar's Aryavart Chronicles is based on the very notion and throughout the tale she justifies Govinda Shauri's rise to a man-god.

The notion doesn't seem to be a far fetched tale and maybe rings with truth. Say what?

Anyone there?
As per Mahabharata, Dhritarashtra and Gandhari, the blind king and the queen who blinded herself, are the ones whom I ultimately keep at blame.

Hello. Aap kaun? (I don't remember so many these days. My brain doesn't seem to function)

If you ask me I have a long list of people whom I blame.😆

I read the first book of Munshi (eager to read the rest!), and Munshi doesn't necessarily say that Krishna wasn't a God. I mean, Narad still makes a prophesy that Vishnu will come to kill Kans, and thus he does elude to Krishna being a God, but during the leelas themselves, he just doesn't make the divinity as apparent. He tries to explain the leelas through a human lens, which I do find intriguing, but some parts weren't as convincing.

There are times when I try to explain Rama and Krishna's leelas through a human lens, simply because it can be an interesting project, but I always tend to fall back on their very divine essence, as I thrive on the God/devotee aspects of our epics. :P

I think it would make for interesting discussions though, to discuss the Lord's leelas as if he was a human.

And please someone make siggies or moodboard of Hades and Persephone. I am so obsessed with them. They are so akin to Shiva-Parvati here and you know my madness with the two.😆

Honestly the more I am reading about Hades-Persephone the more I realise that these two were the only likeable lot amongst horde of Greek/Roman God's and Goddesses.😆
