The second episode was better than the first one because it moved faster, had the characters revealing themselves and also because it held the climax of the two-day story.
In the first half of the episode, the show very well managed to keep the suspense intact, which was great. Also, the way story was spiced up with a few twists was good to watch.
Dev's smoothness in doing his job is just so soothing to see. He doesn't falter in saying or doing anything. His character is well built in all aspects.
Meera Devi's entry to the show in a 'tantrik' avataar was quite unexpected but not bad at all. It added to the humour part of the episode and helped lighten up the mood. Meera looked like a fun character and I am really looking forward to see her in the show.
Inspector Narvekar and his traditional Indian investigation gets him nowhere further in the case but the way he accepts the accomplishments of Dev as his own is just so funny and irritating! He'll then also go onto repeating the exact same lines to Dev, to which he never responds. Seems like Dev's heard it way too many times to even pay attention to him. But both the guys still act respectfully to each other.
That little scene of Dev with his Mahek in their bedroom was justified. But the one where he's watering the flowers on her grave make no sense to me. It was just like some random scene popped out of nowhere with absolute no connection with the ongoing scenes.
Dev didn't like kids, that's what the first episode said to us. But Dev certainly cares for kids and that's what the end of the second episode told me. Just look at that smile he gives to Aanya and that's it. You now know that he cares for kids.
Also, the retro songs which are played in the background at times sound great. I like it.
My main interest part is Dev's past life and I'm so interested in knowing it with all my heart and soul. The biggest question running through my mind right now is why Inspector Narvekar so interested with Dev and his wife? What connection did he have with them? And also how does he know that he killed Mahek?
One more thing- There's a part in the end of the episode where Dev called Aanya as Mr. Awasthi's 'poti' but she was actually his 'naatin'. Wrong word usage.
The volume of the background music was in control today which made me quite happy.
Waiting for the next case to be taken up now. Until then, signing off.
