First off, I am thrilled to see Redux open again after all these years! Gives a very nostalgic feel for the days when Tanthya, Doods and the other experts decoded the episodes.
I used to write previously for Redux and loved every bit of it.I'm swamped with work these days but will pen down my thoughts about the episodes in short and sweet posts.Looking to see more folks join Redux and share their thoughts too.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------REDUX - 1ST EPISODE1. Advay's entry was powerful as in the first few seconds they show him 'carrying' the pain of his past, his eyes blazing with purpose - the purpose being avenging his parent's killings.2. Absolutely loved the pool-puppy scene because it shows Advay denying his true nature for the time being until his purpose/goal is accomplished. He is deep down a loving and caring person but, he is focused on his goal of revenge. This is why, his true nature saves the puppy from the pool, and when it follows him he says "Meri zindagi mein masoomiyat ki, pyaar ki, koi jagah nahi hai." Remember, actions speak louder than words - his act is contradictory to his statement. (That puppy was 'masoom' and 'pyaara' na?) 😉3. Chandni comes across as a responsible, level-headed, dutiful, and loving character with a pinch of mischief. While Advay's eyes simmer with anger, pain and hate, Chandni keeps her sorrow and pain behind her smile. From the very start she has 'Dev' on her mind as she follows his advice of raising the chandelier 12 feet above the ground'.4. Indrani holds power, immense power. Have to wait and watch to see how she wields it.5. Advay vs. Shiva - this was interesting - Lord Shiva is known to be the destroyer, much like Advay's plan on destroying and rupturing Chandni's life. How much destruction and havoc will Advay wreak in her life? A lot.6. Holding on to Hope: Advay putting all his strength in holding the rope, and Chandni holding the engraved stone with hers and Dev's name - both of them were holding on to hope. Advay holding on to the hope of his goal being realized, of taking complete revenge against those responsible for his parent's death, and Chandni holding on to the hope of Dev, her strength and saviour. One hopes for revenge, the other hopes to be saved - the very essence of this show is encompassed in this scene - absolutely brilliant! (Even the promos show this element)That's all from me for now.I did wonder if there was any significance behind the '12 feet'. Really missing Tanthya for this. If you have any thoughts on it, please do let me know.Till then, cheerio 😊Love,Nia
