Bcz I remember in the original Ittefaq Nanda wore a blue saree throughout with no costume change (in addition to no songs)  which was something :)

And for no apparent reason, throughout the movie, she kept dropping her pallu :)

Yash raj was not convinced that Nanda would be fit for the role as she had non sexy image. So she worked with costume designer to come up with this transparent saree worn tightly around her. Her girta hua pallu and her tight saree was to show she is not exactly sati savitri character that Rajesh thinks. And that if his brain was not so tired, he would have picked the signals. Have to say she pulled it off marvelously. 😳

 

Yes she was trying to seduce him ( they do flirt momentarily) and maybe the audience too... How else is a saree clad heroine in those days suppose to do it other than making it transparent, wrapping it around tightly and still keep dropping it 😆

Her chatty neighbor visits hey for borrowing milk, she keeps dropping her Pallu too 😆
