Karthika Nair: Press conference on Aarambh

Summary:
- She talks about her journey as an actress. She says that she has a passion for acting.
- She mentions her reasons for accepting doing "Aarambh": that she couldn't refuse the role as films filed is a man dominated industry as it is hard to find a character as Devsena;
- She says that every episode of "Aarambh" is like a short film; that the show is roughly based on the concepts of Aryans & Dravidians, but no near to history and with a lot of freedom of imagination as there are few concrete evidences of that age.
- She revealed that the script of "Aarambh" was written before "Bahubali" only that it hasn't seen the light until now (it was meant to be a film). The story of "Aarambh" has nothing to do with "Bahubali" and neither does her character with the character, Devsena, from the film "Bahubali".
- She describes her character in the show, Devsena:
- She explains that they have worked hard to create her body language and her costumes so that the younger generation can relate to her as well.- She said that Devsena is a warrior princess, very adventurous, she doesn't want to become a queen because her father will become her inferior and she will no longer be allowed to call him father;- Devsena is emotionally powerful, mentally powerful, and that this character will prove that women can also be physically strong and she is an inspiration for women of today.
- Asked about a love angle in the show: she said that there will be romance in the show, but love is not the main theme of the show; for the moment the leads hate each other as they are enemies and want to kill each other.
- She confessed that she developed a great respect for television actors as they work very much and very hard under the pressure of time; that she is not used yet to so much work; this so much work is new to her; and she doesn't know if she is going to ever do a show again;
- She considers that is good that are more and more shows based on fantasy.
Note: while I was watching the video, I've observed that Karthika has a breathtaking smile that she gives every time that she is asked a question. Her smile enlightens all of her face, which is such a contrast to her usual sober expression and makes her look much more beautiful.
Also, both of the leads come across, during their press conference, as being humble and very professional.
