We identify with Sona and that's why feel upset

This is not about right or wrong or bashing. It about life experiences and about knowing your audiences. I think the CVs are not really undertanding who is watching the show and why they get upset with this kind of storyline where the woman is made to compromise at every turn.
When I started watching the show, for me within 4-5 episodes Sona was the character who stood out. She was a woman in love yet she was not blind to the faults of the man she loved. She could stand up to him, protect him, fight with him, be his strenght-- everything at one shot. We also saw her try very hard to adjust in a family that was just not welcoming. The kind of nonsense GKB, Neha and Vicky dished out besides Ishwari was a bit too much. Sona stood her ground with most of them without being a shrew or throwing a tantrum. She even tolerated the insult to her father and went to make amends for it. The only time she cracked was when Dev told her to get out-- not once but twice.

She left becuase HE TOLD HER TO. And it was sad to see her apologise for that today. To accept the blame for leaving him, not believing in him. How can you stay with someone who asks you to leave? And Dev has done this to her twice, both times because of his mother.

It is evident on this forum at least that the women watching this show are strong independent women, who have probably faced some of Sona-like situations. May be not as extreme as Sona, but in their own way had to deal with MILs and boyfriends/lovers who may not have stood by them.

And they have come out of those situations in a better way than Sona did yesterday. Therefore it becomes hard to understand how she can do what she is doing right now.

Sure forgiveness is a virtue etc etc, but Dev has asked for forgiveness so many times and yet gone back to do the same nonsense again. The problem is that the Dev's character is showing no growth. He is not learning anything. And it is hard to stomach why should Sona forgive him again and again without seeing that he is actually understanding his faults and making changes to his nature.

This is just my point of view. I indentify with Sona and her dilemma's but not with the solutions or her actions that the CVs are dishing out for her. It upsets me to see her believing that she was at fault when according to me she clearly was not. Yes I also know this is a story and Dev and Sona have to get back together but can she do it with some dignity and some pride.

I have stopped associating and identifying myself with Sona since long back. Around Dixits, she becomes a regressive, spineless, doormat and hormonally-charged Mrs. Sonakshi Bose who has zero self-worth. In reality, true love always nurtures one's respect and confidence instead of constantly forcing one to be submissive and apologetic for things one hasn't done.

If Dev all the while knew what he did, why was in the tashan mode since last 3 months ? Why did he lock Sona up ? Why did he get drunk and insult her on her award ceremony ? Why did he make Sona run around the city harassing for nothing ! Why did he constantly blame and hurl abuses at her ? Why did he behave like a loafer to her family members as if they weren't elders but some street people ? Why did he leave no stone unturned to hurt Sona physically and emotionally even during the last confrontation ? And above all, why did he sleep around women all the while and had the audacity to point finger at Sona's ?

2 minute noodles. Ishwari's reference of 2-minutes noodles is exactly what I would reference Dev's meaningless apology today because his last 3 months action doesn't reflect his apology. And yes, it pains to see Sona saying '1 mistake' of Dev, I am confused which mistake she was referring to ? Faking pregnancy ? Tricking her into pregnancy ? Lying about Chores ? Calling Asha Aunty ? Hiding about Infertility ? Slapping her father accidentally ? Being asked to get out ? Being taunted for infertility ? Sorry I missed that for which Sona was apologizing today saying she is 'EQUALLY' guilty !

This show is utterly regressive whereas in movies and other shows we have wonderful messages all around directing society to the right direction instead of such nonsense crap where rules are different for females and males, where the ML is stalker, bully, abuser, hypocrite, misogynist, manipulative, insulting towards elders and still these acts get justified in the name of hawt chemistry between leads 🤔

didnt get the rush either. today shiuld have been an episode for Dev to talk, acknowledge what he had done to sona despite her trying her best. acknowledged her for him continuing to mustrust, misunderstand, taunt every day! acknowledge that he couldnt keep his little family together sona couldhave talked tomorrow.. and there wqs no need for sonakshi to not allow him to feel guilty or shallow. it was sooo needed but CVs made it 50/50 😡

I agree with you on the reasons why we relate to sona more.. but i feel she is not ready for patch up .. though dev hugged her so dearly... i didnt see her hugging back. It was more like a friend hugging another person in distress... i dont believe what they showed today was patchupmof any sorts.. she was just consoling dev and just rescude him from going on his guilt trips -- i think they will still be just parents of soha and most probably dev will stop bickering and blaming and getting into fights with her.. he has to prove that he wont repeat same mistakes again if given a chance.. he has to revive old sona who believed in love... i am still waiting for the day when finally sona will handover the cauliflower that he always dreamt about

Exactly. This 50/50 blame appropriation was not correct.

Lost interest from today's episode the way makers made sona character say sorry for nothing wrong she did feels like it's not sona we all looked up to
Seeing sona weakening from past 2-4 days it's never had that magic of sona
Sona was way strong character which writer ruined it completely
Bang on topic tm u expressed the same thing which I felt
Now this show joined in the league of nonsense shows on tv right now

I used to connect with sona character because infertility problem facing on such pain I too faced it and got through that
I really liked sona character were she always stood out for justice
Never she supported wrong doing
Her values to soha says it all
But today they butchered her character with random sorry and top of it defending ishwari crime and telling police not to bring ishwari name out was so unreal I never expected sona to support and comfort dev by saying u were just kid when things happened seriously this is not sona we knew
When things go unfair she used to fight back
This is way different sona we saw today in fact we saw desperate sona wanted dev just because she promised soha
Her role today was 360 degrees change
Highly disappointed and I can't see this show no more

this was sooo not a 50/50 mistakes scenario. sonakshi made mistakes but not blunders like Dev that destroyed them and her family!

And it not even about whether the patch up happened or not or will happen. Sure Dev apologized: he had a lot to be sorry for. I still cannot understand what she is apologizing for? For leaving him when he asked her to? For returning the money after her father was called a thief? For coming back to tell him about the baby and still being thrown out? For not trusting a man who constantly lied to her --about her infertility, her pregnancy, him giving money to her brother? I am puzzled where she thinks she went wrong. Love is really not about blind trust... at least not where I come from. And Love is about dignity and respect and not crossing lines. Dev crossed that line when he told her to get out after he pushed her and she fell on his mother. Even that was not her fault by the way
