Chapter 2
"Chodo mujhe!
Kaun Ho tum?" Said Jhanvi trying to feed off her kidnapppers.
"Hum ne aap ka
kya bigada hai? Chodo hume!" Demanded Gauri.
"Jhanvi Oberoi
aur Guari Kumari Sharma aapne Humara bahut saara Barbaad kiya hai" said Kali
Thakur stepping into the light.
Gauri's eyes
widened as she realised who the voice belonged to. She wished that it was
nothing, but a bad nightmare, but that was too far from happening "Aap? Aap
kabhi nai sudro ge!" Jhanvi watched the scene unfold among her, but she was too
exhausted to continue fighting if her kidnappers and ended up collapsing. Gauri
then realised that she wasn't alone and someone else needed protecting. "Mujhe
rakhna hai ton rakhlo isse jane do! Aunty ne aap ka kya bigada hai?"
"Bigada kuch nai
par usne uss insaan ko to janam diya hai. Badi ayi apne saas ko bachana
ke liye!"
"Kya bakwaas kar
rahe ho? Ye meri saas nahi hai main toh balki aaj inse milli hoon."
Kaali Thakur
refused to answer and instead went and ordered his men to keep an eye on them
as Gauri continued to ask questions.
"Koi isse chup
toh kar!" Kali Thakur said as he slammed the door and went leaving Gauri
puzzled as to what just happened.
Oberoi Mansion:
Omkara Singh
Oberoi had it all looks, money, girls you name it, but one thing which let him
down was trust. His trustworthy nature caused him more pain than ever as he always
seemed to trust the wrong people. They ruined him so much that the thought of
love was just an illusion for him and it was nothing more than a compromise. He
sat their in thought by the window as the wind blew his once freed hair, but
even that had been tied to hatred like his heart.
"Maine teek kiya
aise ladakyion ke saath aise hi peesh karne ka tareeka hota hai." Omkara closed
his eyes as the flashbacks if her getting hurt haunted him again. He opened his
eyes again and came back to reality that although, she was his; he never made
her his. "Yeh kaisa rishta humara main usse nafrat karta hoon par iss nafrat
mein bhi main uski kadar karta hoon. Mann karta hai ke uska khayal rakh hoon
aur yeh bhi mane ke liye tayyar hai ke uski koi galti nai hai par mere ankein
kaise dhooka de sakti hai."
Kidnapping Area:
"Mujhe kuch na
kuch kar ke yaha se nikalna hai." Thought Gauri as she looked at Jhanvi who
needed to be helped. Gauri looked around to see how she could get herself and
Jhanvi out of this mess. She noticed the window, but before she could escape
she needed to find a way to untie the ropes which surrounded her hands. Her
eyes wandered about to see if there was anything that she could use to cut the
ropes and then she noticed the broken glass bottle that laid in the corner of
the dark and damp room, but to reach it she'd have to distract the guard.
"Mujhe bhookh lag rahi hai!" Gauri announced which started the guard.
"Toh main kya
karu? Yaha tumhe koi 5 star hotel nazar ata hai kya." Said the guard.
"Mujhe Khana hai
aur who bhi warna main chillaongi" said Gauri which followed by her screams to
eat.
"Chup!" The
guard said annoyed at her. "Main kuch lekar ata hoon." He left the room whilst
Gauri prepared to make a run for the bottle. As soon as the guard locked the
door she darted towards the bottle and cut the ropes with struggle and her next
job was to make sure Jhanvi wakes up as she alone won't be able to take her
very far. There was jug full of water lying there for the guard which Gauri
used to her advantage.
"Aunty, Ankhein
kholye. Hume yaha se nikalna chahiye. Aunty." Jhanvi slowly started to come to
her senses. As Jhanvi was in no state to talk Gauri quickly opened the window
for them to escape as time was ticking. Both of them ran till they couldn't run
anymore.
"Beta, bhaagh
toh liya ab kahan jaayenge?" Said Jhanvi trying to gain her breath back.
"Pata nahi aunty
main toh aap nayi ayi hoon. Hum apne dost jaise bhai ke saath rehte hai. Hume
pura sheher ka pata nahi." Said Gauri wondering how she was gonna get out of
this mess.
"Fikar mat karo,
hume sirf main road tak jana hai aur mujhe apna ghar ka raasta pata chal
jayega. Ab chalo yaha she isse pehle koi aajaye." They started running, but
along the way Gauri hurt her arm, but didn't say anything as getting to safety
was the most important thing. They reached the main road and were close to the
Oberoi mansion, but Jhanvi pulled a muscle, so was finding it difficult to
walk, but when Gauri Kumari Sarma is there; there is nothing to fear. Jhanvi
guided Gauri to her house as the two walked together with Gauri helping Jhanvi.
Oberoi Mansion:
Bua Maa: "Pata
nahi Jhanvi kaha hai. Dekho kitni deer hogi hai kahin kuch galat naa hua hai
uske saath."
Omkara: "Bua Maa
kuch nahin hua hai main jake phone karta hoon pata lagane ke liye." (Omkara leaves the scene whereas Rudra
consoles Bua Maa)
"Rudra." Came a
voice from the door.
"Maa! Kaha the
aap? Aur aapko kya hua?" Asked a concerned Rudra whilst helping Jhanvi with
Gauri to the sofa.
"Kahan thi
Jhanvi? You know I was so scared! Aur kya Haal banake rakha hai tumne?" Said
Bua Maa.
"Main teek hoon
ab par mujhe deer hogi thi kyun ki kisine mera kidnap kar liya tha. Agar aaj
Gauri nahi hoti toh shayad main nahi hoti. Thank you Gauri, main tumhe pehle
nai keh sakti isilye ab kehti hoon." She then noticed that Gauri's arm was
bleeding and asked to see it, but before she could answer Omkara came back and
hugged Jhanvi, but his back was facing Gauri, so they couldn't see each other.
"Kahan thi aap?
Pata hai hum sare kitna dar ge the."
"Omkara, main
teek hoon. Main deer ayi kyun ki kisine mera kidnap kiya tha par aaj agar Gauri
nahi hoti toh main shayad nai hoti aaj. Pata hai Omkara usne mujhe do baar
bachaya tha, pehle uss choor se aur ab in kidnappers se." As Jhanvi was looking
towards Gauri, Omkara turned his head around to find the most bitter and sweet
surprise. Gauri was speechless for her destiny played the best game as she met
up with her husband once again whether or not he acknowledges the wedding of
theirs. For Omkara, it was probably the worst moment of his life. His wife
which he didn't want to acknowledge was here to haunt him again. He didn't know
what to say or do, the women he hates the most in his entire life had just
saved the women he loves the most, but his thoughts was left hanging as Rudra
noticed Gauri's arm was bleeding a lot and needed to be treated.
"Arre aap ke
baanh se kitna khoon nikal raha hai. Main abhi first aid box lekar ata hoon."
This alarmed Omkara as he just wanted to take care of her, to hold her and ask
her if she was alright, to comfort her even if she was a home wrecker.
Coming to her
senses Gauri said "Main teek hoon, mujhe ab chalna chahiye."
"Are you crazy?
Raat kitni hogi hai. Tum kahin nai jaa rahi ho. Yahi rahoge aaj keliye." Said
the ordering Bua Maa.
"G dhanyavaad
par main yaha nai rai sakti. Yeh aapka ghar hain bahla hum kaise rai sakte hai
yahan." Said Gauri as her anxiety continued to grow.
"Beta rehlon
yahan. Abhi bhi bahar katra hai." Said Jhanvi trying to convince the girl who's
been helping her all day.
Amongst all this
Omkara realised its due to him she doesn't want to stay here, so decided to say
something "Aapne meri Maa ki jaan bachayi hain usse main aapko kitni bhaar
thank you bolonga utna hi kum hoga isilye aaj raat keliye hi sai par rehlo
yahan." In the meanwhile Rudra came back and was surprised the way Omkara was
speaking and looking at Gauri this made a note to himself to ask O about it.
To say Gauri was
shocked would've been an understatement for the first time she had seen a
different version of Omkara and to say she didn't like this version of him
better would've been wrong. "Teek hai main aaj keliye yahi rehloongi." This put
a smile on everyone's face, but the biggest smile plastered on Omkara's face.
Rudra came forward to bandage her arm, but she denied and said she'd do it
herself to which Rudra did protest after all it's not everyday he gets to help
a beautiful girl, but Gauri wasn't one of them and wished to be shown her room
to which they obliged as everyone bid each other goodnight telling them they'd
speak about what happened tomorrow. There was one person however, who couldn't
care for the surroundings as his eyes were just fixed on Gauri as she walked
towards her room for the night with the first aid box in her hand.
