TOI;Jatin Shah steps into Ankit Bathlas shoes post leap in 'Thapki

Ever since Ankit Bathla, popular as Dhruv in 'Thapki Pyar Ki', decided to quit the show as he didn't want to play a father so early in his career, the production house has been working overtime to find a suitable replacement. And the hunt has finally ended with Jatin Shah. The actor, who is returning to the daily soap space after a gap of almost five years, will enter the show post the seven-year leap. "I couldn't be part of a daily soap as I was busy taking care of my business," he says, adding, "It's a challenge to play an already established character. But I am convinced that I will be able to pull it off."
